Mikan POV
"Mikan!" Ruka screamed from across the hall and skidded in a halt in front of me.
"Nani Ruka-pyon?" I asked, since from seeing the way his skin is so pale, and how his whole body is shaking.
"Do you know what happened to Natsume?"
"Natsume? No why?"
"Something happened. Quickly, come with me."
For some reason, I couldn't object to his command, and as we ran through the empty corridors, my heart started to pound against my chest.
What's the matter? I wondered, did something happen to Natsume? Oh please kamisama, don't let Natsume be hurt.
Third POV
Mikan and Ruka stopped in front of the infirmary room, and Her heart just couldn't stop pounding, thinking whether or not something bad happened to him.
As the door opened, her breath got caught in her throat.
In front of Mikan, is something, better yet someone on the white bed, covered with bandages around the abdomen, legs, and head. Just by looking at the raven-haired locks confirmed one thing. That person was Natsume.
Tears started to bubble in Mikan's eyes as she walked towards the bed,
Without looking at Ruka she said "How did this happen?"
"I'm not too sure Mikan, but I found him like this a few hours ago…"
Flashback
Ruka POV
I was walking in the forest, trying to find something, suddenly a person appeared out of the bush, and before I could react, that person dropped onto the floor like a rag doll.
I quickly ran over to check to see if he was ok, but the sight was unbelievable. This person was covered in blood from head to toe, and it was leaking onto the once green grass, I flipped the person over and was both shocked and surprised to see that person was no other than Natsume.
"NATSUME! OI, NATSUME!" I screamed, thankfully I got one of my animal friends to bring him back to the school grounds, and there he was immediately taken into the infirmary to check on his injuries.
Third POV
"…And that is basically what happened." Mikan started to cry softly when she suddenly heard a noise…
"Ugh…" Both of them whipped their heads to where the noise came from, and saw Natsume starting to regain consciousness.
"Ouch… My body hurts…" Natsume moaned softly as he adjusted his eyes to the new brightness. "What happened?" He asked.
"Don't you remember?" Ruka said.
"Not really, my memory is fuzzy, but all I remember was running away from something, and then I got hit really hard…"
"At least your better Natsume" Mikan said, as tears of joy started to rain down her face.
"Why are you crying polka dots?" Natsume asked, as Ruka left the room, deciding to give them some privacy.
"It's just, it's just…I'm just glad your safe." She continued to cry as Natsume wipes her tears away with his palm, causing her to burn up, suddenly, his face was only centimeters apart and Mikan can feel his breath, itching on her face, then suddenly, their lips connected.
As they broke apart, Natsume leaned his forehead onto Mikan and said "Don't worry Mikan, I won't leave you, I promise, I love you."
"I love you too Natsume, I love you too."
And that was just the start of a new blossoming love.
