Autumn had started taking its toll on the leaves of the trees; they were turning a golden brown colour and crunching under my feet. I had to get to Nottingham soon. It was getting dark. Bandits would flood these woods when the night fell. Or Robin Hood and his gang.

Hooves. Getting louder and louder as they approached where I stood frozen with fear to the ground. Several horses flooded into the opening. A man on a black horse rode in front of me, stopping so I couldn't run forwards. The other horse's blocked off my escape routes. Oh God, I thought, I'm going to die. The man climbed off his horse and stepped towards me. It couldn't be.

"Your name?"

"Ar-Archer."

"What are you doing in the forest Archer?"

"I'm heading to Nottingham."

"What for?"

"I'm looking for my brother."

"And who might your brother be?" You.

"Guy of Gisborne."

"I thought it was you." I smiled at the ground. We'd not been extremely close. Close but not close enough to talk. That was my other brother.

"I was told you'd be in Nottingham."

"We're just going back there now. Come, we'll take you." He climbed onto his horse. I started walking towards the trees in the direction we were headed. As I was walking past his horse he reached his hand down in front of me. I looked up to see him smiling. I took his hand and climbed onto the horse.

"So this is your sister, Gisborne?"

"Yes, sir."

"What is your name?"

"Archer, sir."

"Archer? Well you are welcome here."

"Thank you, sir."

"Gisborne, show her to her room."

"Thank you." I followed my brother out of the hall.

"That was the Sherriff of Nottingham?"

"Yes."

"Are you alright, Guy?"

"Just… be careful. He knows who your other brother is. He'll use you to get him."

"Why?"

"He wants him dead. You're supposed to be intelligent."

"Says who?" He smiled.

"Archer, just be careful, please."

"I will. Thank you." He left the room.

"You asked for me, sir?"

"Yes, Archer. I wanted to ask you for a favour?"

"Of course, sir."

"I want you to go into Sherwood forest and look for-"

"My brother?"

"Yes, Archer."

"I can try, sir. Why do you wish to see him, sir?"

"We have some unfinished business." His gold tooth glistened threateningly.

"Of course, sir, when should I leave?"

"Anytime, what about now?"

"Okay, sir." I left the room and picked up my bag in my room. I started to leave when I walked into Guy.

"Where are you going, Archer?"

"The Sherriff asked me to go into Sherwood Forest."

"Already."

"Yeah…"

"Be careful."

"I will." I hugged him and felt him squeeze tight.

"Archer, I know we've never been the closest but... I've only just seen you for the first time in a year, I can't lose you again."

"I know, Guy, I'll be fine. What do you think he's going to do?" I joked.

"I don't know." I let go of Guy.

"See you soon." I left the castle.

Sherwood Forest was harder to navigate through than I'd originally thought. It was dark now, which didn't help. Wait. I could swear I'd just heard someone. Some leaves rustling. Leaves crunching under feet. I started to panic when I felt someone behind me. They put their hand over my mouth and round my waist.

"Shh, Archer." They pulled me down behind a tree.

"It's alright, Archer, just stay quiet." They took their hand away from my mouth. I turned to face them. Stood in front of me with his mandatory bow and quiver of arrows was my brother. Robin.
