Hey guys. This is just a short little Klaine drabble I wrote. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY GOT MARRIED! Oh it was beautiful. Brittana and Klaine and oh, my heart is about to explode from happiness.
Anyway, this came to me when I was listening to music, and I hope ya'll enjoy it.
Kurt jumped when he heard a knock on his door. He looked up from his history textbook and called out, "Come in."
He smiled when he saw Blaine enter the room.
"Hey, Blaine," he said, smiling briefly, then turned his attention back to his textbook. He really needed to study.
"Hey, Kurt," said Blaine, "So you remember when we sang Baby it's Cold Outside?"
Kurt nodded, concentrating on the words in the textbook below him. It didn't matter how adorable Blaine looked, or how big of a crush Kurt had on him, he wasn't going to get distracted from studying. He needed that A to pull his C to at least a B.
Blaine continued talking, "Well, you know how the council decided that the Warblers should focus on more romantic songs as we prepare for Regionals," Blaine paused. Kurt nodded to encourage him to keep going, even though he was writing down notes on causes of World War 1. "Well," Blaine continued, "I was remembering how we sang Baby it's Cold Outside together, and I thought, hey, we sounded pretty good singing together. So I was wondering if you'd like to maybe sing a duet with me. In front of the council."
Kurt's heart leaped at the idea of singing a romantic duet with Blaine, even if it was just platonic. However he kept his composure and nodded, "Sure Blaine. Just not know. I don't know World War 1 as nearly as well as I'd like to think."
"Alright," said Blaine. Kurt sighed with relief when he saw that Blaine wasn't going to argue. But then Blaine pouted, and Kurt knew it was all going to go to hell. "But I'd like to do it now," Blaine said.
"Blaine, I'm trying to study. Besides, we have to pick out a song, and that could take ages."
"No it won't," Blaine grinned, "I've already gotten one picked out."
"We'll I'd have to learn all the words."
"I know you know all the words to the song that I have picked out," Blaine said. Kurt had to force himself to focus on his paper. Blaine had pulled out the puppy dog eyes, and Kurt had no chance against those.
"Please Kurt? I'm not going to have any free time until this upcoming Friday, and that's ages away. I wanted to show the council tomorrow during practice."
"I would Blaine, but I really need to study."
Blaine sighed, and thought for a minute or two. He smiled and said, "How about you rehearse with me for the next twenty minutes, and then," he said when he saw Kurt was about to protest, "and then I'll help you study for the rest of the night. You know I'm good at history, and you study better with another person anyway."
Kurt thought this over before sighing. "Fine," he gave in and stood up, "I suppose I could use a study break anyway."
Blaine grinned and turned on Kurt's ipod, scrolling through all of his songs until he found the one he knew Kurt would have. He pressed play, and the music began to play through the speaker.
Kurts heart almost melted when he heard the violins begin to play. Then he realized that he might not be able to sing this with Blaine in front of everybody without his already obvious crush becoming more obvious. However, he mustered up his courage and began to sing.
Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in my wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth
For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Blaine stepped forwards and took Kurt's hands in his. He smiled and began to sing.
For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
Kurt was sure that he was imagining that adoring look in Blaine's eyes.
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Blaine pulled Kurt closer so they were chest to chest, their hands clasped between them.
Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could
So somewhere in my youth
Or childhood
I must had done something…
something good.
The music ended, however, Kurt didn't really notice. He was too lost in the beauty of Blaine Anderson's eyes. Slowly, Kurt began to lean in. His eyes dropped to Blaine's lips, then back up to Blaine's eyes. He saw Blaine's pupils blow wide. Soon, the gap between them was closed.
Blaine's lips were soft and sweet as they caressed Kurt's. Blaine's lips on Kurt's felt so good, so right, Kurt couldn't help the whimper he made in the back of his throat.
Blaine mistook the whimper for a bad thing and he pulled away.
"Oh, Kurt, oh my gosh, Kurt, I am so sorry Kurt," rambled Blaine.
Kurt didn't respond for the first few minutes of Blaine's ramblings, still not quite believing that Blaine had kissed him. Blaine fucking Anderson had kissed him. Right on the lips.
"I'll just- I'll just go now," said Blaine, "I- god I'm so sorry Kurt."
"Blaine," said Kurt.
"I know, I know, I'm going," said Blaine.
"Blaine," Kurt shook his head and smiled. He walked towards Blaine, who had one had on the door, and was just about to step out.
"I'm not upset."
"You're not?" asked Blaine in amazement.
"Are you crazy? I've been wanting to kiss you for ages," said Kurt.
"Oh," said Blaine. Then he started laughing, "To think," he said between giggles, "All this time, you wanted to kiss me. And all this time I wanted to kiss you."
"You did?"
"Kurt. Of course. You're amazing. You're kind, and caring, and inspiring, and you have the voice of an angel. You're like some super...mega...foxy...awesome hot god whose presence I've been graced with."
"You really think that of me?"
"Yes."
"And you've really wanted to kiss me all this time?"
"Yes."
"Then stop talking and kiss me."
Blaine gladly complied, leaning in eagerly and kissing Kurt. This kiss was different from the first. It was just as good, it just had a different feel. The first kiss was a question. A sweet and simple question to which the answer was yes. This kiss was full of promise, and Kurt could feel how much Blaine cared for him by the way Blaine was kissing him.
Soon they had to break away, because Kurt still needed to study. However, he was more enthusiastic to study because of the new unspoken reward system.
Kurt aced his test, however, the teacher wasn't amused by all the 'Kurt + Blaine forever' and little hearts written all over his paper.
So why don't ya'll tell me what you think in a review, if I made any mistakes, and if you think I need to change anything. I'm pretty happy with it, so I feel accomplished.
Do you remember when you were younger, how when the subject of kissing was brought up (in conversation or in writing) you would just get all tingly inside because kissing was a foreign subject to you, and discussing it or writing it just felt weird. Then when you get older, it goes away, and you can talk and write about kissing with ease, right? WRONG. Every Klaine kiss (or Brittana, for that matter) I read, or write, or see leaves me with that tingly feeling inside times ten. Except the tingly feeling is more excited. *Sigh*. Its strange, I fantasize more about my OTP's first kiss more than I do mine (I've never been kissed, btw). I guess that's the life of the fangirl.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
