Dreams and Whispers
The Apostle of Begnion - first daughter in the sacred, unbroken line of Altina - was said to hear the voice of the goddess.
She did hear a voice - soft and gentle like the waves upon the shore; soft whispers - when to reap and when to sow, when to revel and when to mourn.
Her people became prosperous and out of gratitude they attributed their good fortune to the benevolent grace of Ashera.
Their heartfelt thanks went unnoticed however, as Ashera slept through it all. For eight hundred years she remained undisturbed by their petty mortal imaginings.
Yune saw it though. She saw it all in her restless, flaring dreams:
Their wars and their peace,
Their sorrows and laughter,
Their happiness and pain.
She watched all this with a child's innocence and sought to answer them with a child's wisdom, asking in turn that they find wisdom in their own human hearts.
