Kalona pov
I spotted The Red...uhh… I mean Stevie Rae; I have to stop calling her that, walking towards me. I had contacted her yesterday asking if I could speak to her alone. She was hesitant at first, but she agreed. We agreed we would meet by the old oak tree near the east wall, during lunch today.
"Ok I'm here, what do you want."
I smiled at how she got strait to the point most people don't do that. The way she cares herself is not cocky, but confident. I have learned that though she is small, she is very powerful and wise for someone so young in age.
"Hello?!" she said waving a hand in front of my face snapping me out my thoughts.
"I don't have all day, well night you know, I told Rephaim I had to ask Thanatos question. And if I take too long he's gonna come looking for me."
"So you did not tell Rephaim that I wished to speak to you?"
"Of course I didn't tell him, you asked me not to, and plus if I told him he would have gone batshit crazy and would have come with me."
"Thank you, for not telling Rephaim. I want to speak to you about your relationship with my son."
"What about it?" she asked, half confused and half pissed off.
"I wish to apologize for the way I acted towards you, because you are with my son. I did not think you were right for your son. I thought you were only with him to use him, or to trick him into leaving my side."
She looked at me, like she was really pissed off. "How dare you think that?!" Yup defiantly pissed off.
"I love your son with everything I have in me, he is wonderful, amazing, sweet, kind, caring, and extremely over protective, but only because he wants me to be safe, and I love he for that. I could never hurt him; I don't know how I was ever happy before I met him. And I never used him, or tricked him into leaving your side, he chose to. During that time you were gone, he changed. He changed into a wonderful man, who I love. Is he same person he was before you left, no. He's better."
"I know you love him, but I didn't know that then. I am grateful that my son has found such an amazing woman. I used think that you didn't deserved him. But even after everything he's done, you still love him. You know everything about him, and you never once judged him. You unconditionally love him, I know now that it is my son who doesn't deserve you. I am truly sorry for the way I have treated you."
"Thank you, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me. I forgive you, I'm sure if I was in your shoes I would think the same thing too, and the way I acted towards you was not nice either. I have to go, I sure Rephaim is wondering what's taking me so long."
Just as she was walking away, she stopped, and turned around, "You should get to know your son, the real him, you'd be surprised at how amazing he is." She gave a small chuckle and walked away.
"Maybe I should." I whispered to myself.
