Kiss the child goodbye

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, I am a simple student and therefore have no time to draw mangas every three month or so…

She was afraid…

It was cursed, and wanted her to suffer, she often thought. It wanted her to scream in pain as it continued to clench its trap around her. She was afraid, yet it was so harmless. It couldn't hurt, yet it killed her from the inside. She would never remove it, in fears it would come back again. Come back and put more blood on her hands, the blood she hated and was so scared of. It always came back, like a puppy to its master, a puppy who bit and tore and scratched, yet never killed, wanting to see her put it away, so it could come back, bite, tear and scratch her again and wait for the cycle to continue, a never ending one. She was afraid, because it was still with her. She was afraid, because it was a simple necklace, yet it hurt so much. She was afraid, because she made a bet on it.

She had received it as a heirloom from her grandfather, barely remembering the man who gave her such a curse to bear, yet at the time, she wore it with pride, thinking it would bring her luck. But it was cursed.

Now she wished she never saw it, never put it on, never…

Never thought about it as a good luck charm…

Never had to lose those she cared for…

Never saw their blood…

The blood she feared so much. The blood that stained her hands. The blood of those she could not protect. The blood of those she could not heal. The blood that flowed like a river within a person. The life that flowed within the blood. The life that was stolen by the cursed necklace. The cursed necklace lying in her right hand.

It seemed to mock her, lying in her hand like a puppet without the strings to hold it up, a puppet who killed, yet never moved. She was scared, afraid, even terrified, yet there was no reason for her to be. It was a simple necklace. A simple, stupid, necklace. Yet nothing, nothing could erase the fear growing in her stomach as she passed the string over her head, the green stone gleaming in the light as she lowered it and put the string of a small, twelve years old genin with spikey blond hair. The face of her little brother, Nawaki, kept on flashing in her mind's eye. She wanted to back out of that bet, keep the terrifying necklace to a safe place where noone would touch it and she would be safe from its torture. But she didn't stop, didn't even hesitate to put the necklace around the neck of the already cursed child, and kiss his forehead. The child who was feared, himself. The one who could destroy the whole village within minutes. The only one she could trust the necklace upon. The one that was training to bring a friend and brother back home. The one that was far, far away from Konoha.

Uzumaki Naruto.

Rokudaime to be…

I'm surprised it got out so well… But it's still very short… Now, would you please push the little bluish-purple button? I like to know what other people think about it…
