"Now, rough up your shoulders a bit, hop on the spot. Sway if you like, Sway and hoping. Sway hoping. Right, C'mon then tiger, you can do this."
"Jack," The northern tone spoke with a gruff. "You're not helping."
Jack flashed his perfect teeth and winked. "I know, I know. But we need to get you all heaped up. You need to be running on adrenaline. That really gets the girls going!"
He groaned.
Jack himself was half leaning out the TARDIS door, he was wearing his normal sharp trousers with the gun belt and wore a plain vest over his thick muscles. He patted the wood of the open door all the while grabbing the Doctor's leather shoulder.
He was frowning to the foreign planet.
"Now, you've got to go out there and you know, spark up some witty chat up lines. Whisk her off through the waves, take her for dinner."
"I know!" The Doctor muttered defensively. Despite his frowns, his neck was growing red as he was leaning towards the door nervously.
"Go get her!"
"I'm doing it, alright!"
"Stop getting stroppy! Just go out there now before I nab your chance!"
This seemed to spark a sense of motivation. His frown deepened but he took a deep breath and strided towards Rose.
Rose, her hair in a messy bun with the fringe coating her face, danced madly across the sand. She ran to and from the waves like how he'd imagined she might have done when she was little. Her boots were coated in wet sand and the water frequently sprayed her.
H took stormy if not a little over nervous steps towards her.
"Isn't this fun?!" She squealed, jumping around and running towards him. He was avoiding her gaze.
"Yeah. So, do you want to go get dinner or something…you know, somewhere."
"Chips?" She yelled offhandedly. Yet again she sped towards the wave and ran from it in glee, she was laughing hysterically.
He tried to smile at her but he was so nervous that all he could do was give her his grumpy awkward face. "Sure, so I was just wondering..err…and I…uh…well…Jack was saying…um…"
Rose turned quickly to see him looking to the floor and rubbing his neck. She loved this planet, it was beautiful and crazy and the beach ran for miles upon miles with stars scattered across the sky like a painting.
The waves that were before flowing and running across the sand now cascaded into an uproar of salt water and then it froze, it froze from above them making a cave out of frozen water above them.
Rose gasped.
"It's so beautiful…"
"Hey, Rose…" the Doctor began. he was rubbing his neck again.
He never got to finish his sentence because Rose slipped her gloved hand in his and let him lead them across the beach.
"I'll never get tired of this," she promised.
He wanted to say something, tell her the truth. Instead he gave her a smile and nodded.
"You know what the best bit about travelling with you is?" She sighed after a while. He'd been day dreaming, letting himself smile and enjoy the walk.
"What's that?" He flashed her a smile so that she squeezed his hand, before long they were both grinning madly at each other as if captivated by each others features.
"Now."
