In Misa's eyes Light was perfect. Good looking, smart.. he was going to purge the world with her help. She loved him dearly with every fiber of her being. He praised her often and he had the most amazing plans. Misa was taken in my his charm, and though she was abit slow she did notice Light didn't seem nearly as intrested in her as she was in him. That wasn't good for her self esteem. Of course, Light was so much smarter than her.. she sometimes doubted if he actually loved her. She knew he was a good actor.

He has brought justice to her parents killer, she loved him truely. Sometimes it would seem Light just thought of her as a pawn, a playtoy or an annoying child. And even though he was a good actor Misa could see he didn't ever truely mean it when he said "I love you".

At first Misa wasn't used to that. She had always been the center of attention, she'd never seen a man who just "wasn't that into her".. the one man she wanted. But Misa had driven herself to deny this fact and repeat the words inside her head 'he does love me.' but deep down she knew it was a lie. She knew she was a pawn and a piece of eyecandy. But she also felt she wasn't worth much more.. to someone as great as Light.

she recalled a time when they were sitting together writing names down. She had questioned Light about his feelings towards her.

"Hey Light..?" she had asked softly. He turned to stare at her.

"Do... do you love me?" she stared into her lovers eyes hopefully. They held no emotion.

"Keep writing, Misa." was all he had said before his gaze adverted back to the television.

When he had first kissed her Misa noticed a strange glint in his eye.
This man didn't love her at all and she knew it. She just couldn't bring herself to accept the fact until she saw her lover in the arms of another woman.
