Above All Others

A poem about the people who are important in Merlin's life-for different reasons. Short oneshot.

There are those Emrys holds above all others,

Foes, friends, family, and thy lover,

Friends that come of noble past,

And those descent of lower part,

Next, those of knowledge and wisdom,

Who use their power to save the kingdom,

Then those of high magic power,

Darkest night, and moonshine flower,

His family, and sacred kin,

And the once and future King.

Explanation of the lines:

'thy lover' = Freya

'noble past' = Sir Leon (Could also be Sir Gwaine)

'lower part' = Sirs Lancelot, Percival, Elyan and Gwaine.

'knowledge and wisdom' = Gaius and Gwen

'high magic power' = Nimueh, Morgose, Morgana and Mordred.

'Darkest night, and moonshine flower' = Morgana as she is evil (darkness to your light) but has pale skin (the moonshine flower is meant to be very pale)

'family'= Hunith

'sacred kin' = Killaragh

'once and future King' = obviously Arthur
