"I'm sorry. I overheard you two talking-"
"No," McGee said, cutting Ziva off. "Thank you, 'cause that is extremely helpful. I mean, we can pull the GPS history and look at the logs!"
He looked to DiNozzo, expecting him to spring into action, but it was obvious he was not thinking about the case. Tony's eyes were trained on Ziva, and hers were trained on him, and McGee experienced serious déjà vu, because he'd been watching them do this for four years.
In fact, he had seen it so much that he now had an excuse at the ready, and he pulled it out right then. "And I'm gonna go do that… after I get a Nutter Butter."
McGee turned and hurried away, exhaling hard in relief. That was over for the moment.
Now to scrounge up some quarters so he could actually get his candy.
