As I prayed for Haruto to be safe and sound, I heard a news from one of the classmates in my school telling Iori that she didn't see him killing her father. Maybe that's enough proof to see that even though Haruto is not human anymore, he's still the same person I knew of.

What have I done?

Last I spoke to him, I still called him a threat even though I realize he isn't some mindless monster, but I cried, 'I'm sorry, Haruto. I'm sorry' from inside his Valvrave so by the time he went back for the fight, the AI, or whatever she is, will tell him about my message of my true feelings for him. That way, in case he dies, then he'll die knowing I care about him.

But still...

When I looked at Iori, I was really angry with her in the inside. It's all her fault that I lost my relationship with Haruto when we discovered he's like what Rukino-san is on TV. All this to avenge her father, but she didn't even see him doing this act and I know he's incapable of doing something like that so therefore, he's innocent.

I got up out of my seat to give him support, but I was grabbed by Iori.

"Are you thinking about giving him support?" she asked firmly.

"Yes, I will," I replied calmly.

"But he's a monster like Rukino-san is!" she said in protest.

That's what I'm really angry with her deep inside. She has the nerve to call my friends, Haruto and Rukino-san monsters when in fact, they're still the same people I know of. I lead her away from the control panel outside. It's time for some payback.

"Iori, the moment when you exposed Haruto as a monster by shooting him in the heart and he healed from it... Do you know what I realized?"

"What?"

"The real monster around here is you," I stated, standing up for Haruto which I should have done this against Iori when I had the chance.

She looks insulted by this short mean speech I gave her and I punched her hard in the face that she fell to the ground.

"Now, we're even," I left her to get up from the floor on her own to help out the other students who are injured.

Looks like I got my payback after all.
