V1C1 (CHAPTER 1). A Brand New World #1
Currently, it has been 168 years since the last Great Ninja War. The fourth one, to be exact.
Since then, the world has always been mostly peaceful. The military has been stable and organized, and violence has decreased a lot since then. The use of Ninjutsu in public areas is exclusively tied to utility, like lightning up lamps or moving windmills faster. The use of chakra has been reworked completely in modern society, lots of development in technology tied to computer science and engineering.
Tales about the most powerful and influential ninja in the world have been carefully organized, and historians wish to look deeper into the past.
"Alright class, that's where we leave off for today. Make sure to study for next week, and maybe you will end up graduating at the academy by the end of the month" - Said Mr. Hirohiko, as he packed up his suitcase. - "Taikishi, can you take care of cleaning the whiteboard please? Thank you"
Taikishi stood up and grabbed the eraser as Mr. Hirohiko left the classroom
-"Are you really going to erase the board? It's not like anyone checks it" - Said Shikatsuki, as he grabbed his backpack
- "I'm not taking the risk though"
- "Anyways, do you think you're going to graduate next week?"
- "I don't know" - He responded - "I mean, I'm average at best, and it's not like everyone and their mom graduates the first week of tests, i can afford to wait a week or two"
- "That's not the right mentality" - Said Shikatsuki - "Maybe you will end up doing well, who knows. Just aim for the best"
- "Says the one that has a whole family history to back you up.
- "I mean, you also have a family history, remember that one Hokage? The Sixth, i believe"
- "Oh please, if we're going with long blood relations half of us the world would be related to the First." - He said, leaving the building.
- "It's your choice not to be proud of your bloodline. But enough of that, I'm going home now. See you later, Hatake"
- "See ya"
Taikishi left the academy with no particular worries.
Next week, the graduation tests would officially begin, and those who are worth of the title would be soon recognized as true ninja.
