Animal Crossing: Insanity

Chapter 1: The First Meeting

I'm standing outside my parents house, in the rain. I was told to wait for a cab. I look behind me and see my parents in the window, looking out at me. I sigh and shake my head. I hear a car come by. It's a small, compact, black cab. It pulls up to me. A turtle looks at me and says, "Why, hello thar. Git in ye scurvy dog." Yep. Kapp'n. I throw my suitcase in the trunk. I open the back door and get in. We drive off. I look out the window and see my mother's face... For the last time.

It was two hours later when I woke up to Kapp'n screaming, "Argh! I hate this blasted rain!" I muttered to myself, "I kinda like it." Kapp'n looked at me, shook his head, and turned around. "So, where ye headed?" "Uh... Well... Why?" The car stopped. I felt cold. There was blackness. A disembodied voice said, "You need to tell him for the story -line!" I thought, Story-line? But, I was back in my seat, saying, "Garrawr." "Garrawr, eh? Ye scurvy dog! I live there!" He laughed. I chuckled. Wonderful. "So, what's yer name?" Why was he so nosey? "WHY DO YOU CARE!" Kapp'n stopped the car, turned around to me, and said, "You best tell me." I heard a small 'shing.' "My name is Thomas!" I sputtered. "Good." He turned back around and kept driving. I dozed back off.

Hours later, I awoke. "Guwha?" I was lying on dirt ground. A duck stood over me, drooling. "Err... Who the &$ are you!" He screamed. He ran. "'Kay. Scary. Very, very scary." I heard an annoyed voice scream out my name. "Are you Thomas?" a raccoon said. "Er... Yeah. Why?" "GOOD! Follow me." He burst out in a slow jog. Then walked. Slowly. His life was fading. I could tell.

After he showed me my house, told me the ridiculously high price, and forced me to work for him, I went upstairs, and slept. On the floor. Nice Ol' Nook, no bed. I swear, that duck was outside my window before I went to sleep.

I woke up. My whole body was stiff. Maybe sleeping on the floor would explain this. I went downstairs, half-asleep. I went over to my trunk, opened it, and took out a bowl, some milk, and cereal. I ate. After this, I decided to take a shower. "Where's the shower?" I said to myself. I went upstairs and picked up the phone. I get silence. Great. I got dressed and went over to Nookingtons.

"Thomas! Great to see you! I wasn't expecting for you to show!" He's nice, I thought. "What ya want..." He handed me a shirt, some soap, and a leaf. "Go place that leaf in your house. It's a shower. Go over to the Town Hall, tell them to turn on your plumbing for 1,000 bells," he handed me a bag, "And take a shower! You stink! Put the shirt on, and come back here. Got it?" I did so. Ah, the fresh scent of clean. Too bad I lived in Stupids-ville.

Back at Nook's, I did some chores. Bought some basic needs, and left. I fixed up my house. Ah, suburban living. Birds sang. I went outside, cut down the tree with my new ax, and killed them. Muuuuuuch better. I thought to meet the locals. Worst mistake of my life.

I went to the houses close to mine. Four in total. I met a mouse, a cat, a chicken, and... A duck. He wouldn't speak, but kept saying, "No... I must not ask him that... NO! NO! Hersnam must not!" You can figure the rest out.

Night fell.

I went home, and slept in my new bed that I got from the dump. I'll check out Able Sister's tomorrow, and then see if Nook will do some cleaning for Bells. I heard a quack. I turned to my window. CRASH! I jumped out of bed and threw open my window. The duck was there. Drool covered his face. Maybe Nook'll put a security system, too.
