Just a quick one-shot that came to mind as I was watching Big O. I hope you all enjoy it.

"And what if some of us want to forget Roger Smith!" She yelled at him. How dare he push is personal wishes upon everyone else.

"Then you do know something." The tall man concluded. "Tell me what you know about the lost memories."

She eyed the man wearily. He stood their looking smug in his sharp black business suit and his perfectly styled hair. He carried with him an air of authority something he clearly did not possess. However she understood why he spoke that way. Speaking with authority was a skill Sesshomaru had taught her l. It led others to believe more in your status.

He clearly learned this skill as a negotiator.

"I know nothing of this world or its lost memories. I simply came here to share in the blessing of new beginnings." She told him. Not that she had a chance to. The second she stepped foot into the city he had singled her out. Had been constantly digging up her past all due to his own personal obsession with it.

"Blessing?" He repeated her word. She could see him mulling it over in his mind.

Whatever his thoughts were he clearly was not pleased with her take on things.

"You think it's a blessing to know nothing. Not who you are! Not what you're here for! How can it be a blessing?!" He yelled at her getting angrier as he spoke.

"And you think it's a blessing to remember? The pain? The betrayal? The loss of life? Not all memories are happy ones. Some, like mine, are full of blood and fighting." Roger seemed shocked by her confession for a moment not knowing how to respond.

"If you want your own memories then that's fine." She told him. "However I came to your city after this event you're so obsessed with. I honestly know nothing that will help you. I have simply come here for to gain a clean slate and new start at life. A place where no one knows of the horrors I've seen. A place where I can truly start over without other peoples judgment hanging over my head. "

Turning to him she smiled "I would appreciate it if you would allow me that chance." She stated before turning her back on him. She had enough of this meeting as he had called it.

He watched as she walked away. Her long dark swaying as she left. Had she really experienced what she claimed she had. She appeared to be to young.

There was something in her eyes though, something that made him believe it. She had eyes he had never seen before, eyes that were haunted by the past.

It was a rare sight in this city of people who forgot everything. It had been her eyes that had drawn him to her. He wanted, no needed to know why her eyes looked that way.

Now that he had the answer he felt sorry for the girl.
