A/N Just a sad little oneshot I wrote because I heard last week that We Will Rock You is ending its run in London this May. Also, my first published WWRY fanfiction - please review!

Disclaimer: I don't own WWRY.

Only the good die young

Galileo gripped her hand tightly. She was slipping away from him, and he couldn't let her go. Her breathing became more laboured, and as her body began to writhe in pain, he leaned in and pressed his lips onto hers. He wished he could take away all of her pain, and just keep her with him for a little longer. Now, he regretted every single argument he'd ever had with her, but smiled when he remembered her at her most beautiful - when she was angry.

His mind led him back to their early days, when they had first met. Their fight against Globalsoft, its eventual defeat, and his proposal. She was even more sassy and sarcastic than she was now.

Her body fell limp, and her grip on his hand loosened. He was losing her.

"Gazza?" she croaked, her voice scarcely more than a hazy whisper. "I love you. Always have, always will."

"I know, I know." he said, comforting her as best he could. She had never said that she loved him before, but he had always known it. He'd just known that telling him was too hard for her.

"I'm sorry. I'm dying..." she whimpered, her body falling still. The only thing she still seemed able to do was squeeze his hand. A single tear trickled down her face as Galileo leaned in for what he knew was their last kiss. Her final breath was long and laboured, but Galileo lent his head on her chest as his own tears began to fall.

She was gone. He didn't know what to do. His entire life had been devoted to her and now she was gone. Nothing else could fill the void she had left in his life. The pain was extraordinary, never-ending. How could it ever end? She was gone and he would never see her again. That was the unfortunate truth. Scaramouche was gone. That much he knew.

A/N So, what did you think? Remember, I love reviews!
