He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Sora, Namine, and Kairi are 15. Riku is 16.

It was a regular spring day. But for some reason, I felt lonely. Is it because Namine has a boyfriend? Is it because her boyfriend is Sora? I think I'm just missing something from my heart. But what about Riku? Riku. That name...Why did it make me blush?

Kairi sat under a sakura tree. She always loved its color and it way. It was stuck to the tree. Then after, the sakura petal will be free. It would fall off eventually. Sakura...She always loved that name.

A petal gently fell on her head. She felt it there and tried to get it, but before she knew it, it flew in front of her. Before she was about to grab it, something next to it caught her eye. It was a small daisy.

Instead, she plucked out the daisy out of the ground gently. When she looked at it, the white petals of the daisy reminded her of Namine.

Flashback

"Namine-chan! Wait up!" cried a little 6 year-old Kairi.

"Hurry, Kairi-chan! I wanna show you something!" Namine then pointed out in front of them. It was a field of all kinds of flowers.

"Oh! Its beautiful, Namine-chan! Look at that one! Look at that one!" Kairi said as pointing to a small, white flower.

"Kairi-chan, that's called a daisy. I heard if you pluck the petals one by one thinking of someone you like, saying something like he loves me, he loves me not, well, if it lands on he loves me, than he really does love you! But if it lands on he love me not, well, you get it." Namine said explaining to her friend.

Kairi giggled.

"What's so funny?" Namine said looking puzzled.

"Oh nothing! I mean, Sora-chan already likes me!" Kairi explained.

A silvered haired man named Riku was walking through the park, when his eyes suddenly caught sight of Kairi. "Kairi?" he slightly whispered. She didn't hear him. He walked towards her. Still, she didn't notice him. He was right behind her, listening to what she was saying.

But that was long ago. When I still liked Sora. I still do. But now I can't. Namine's dating him. And everyone thinks I like Riku. Riku. I-I think instead of Sora, I think I love Riku. Maybe I should try.

She pluckedthe flower petal one by one.

"He loves me, he loves me not."

For 5 times, she said that. On the last petal, "He loves me..."

When Riku heard this, he suddenly noticed he had feelings for her. He put his hand on her shoulder. At the feeling of this, her eyes widen, she turned around.

"Riku you-" she was cut off by his lips touching hers. He took the chance and slid his tongue in her mouth. Then the eventually needed air.

"I love you too" he said, embracing her.

She smiled. Returning the embrace.

1 year later, they were married and had a baby girl. They named her Sakura.
