Ron Weasley stared into the distance, pissed at Charlie more then ever. He sat wondering, how can his favorite brother, his hero, do this to him? True he never straight out told Charlie he loved her, but it still hurt. He just wanted to go back to Hogwarts and pretend that Charlie never existed.
It was Christmas holiday, and for once, everyone was there at the Burrow. Bill, Fred, George, Ginny, Harry, Hermione, and best of all, Charlie.
Ron was out trying to buy the perfect gift for Hermione, he was planning on admitting his feelings to her. Everything had to go perfectly. Only Harry knew about his master plan. He couldn't tell anyone else, because he feared that Hermione wouldn't return the feeling.
After coming back from a long day of Christmas shopping, he saw the worst that could happen.
Charlie and Hermione were in a deep embrace. After emerging, Charlie leaned in and gave Hermione a kiss on the cheek.
"Don't worry about a thing Hermione, it will all be okay."
"And we won't tell Ron about this?" Hermione answered in a shaky voice.
"We don't have to tell a soul."
Ron immediately ran back upstairs. His anger would come, but for now all he could do was cry about losing the one thing he wanted most to his favorite brother.
