"Felix take care of it. I'd like to go home." A child-like voice sneered. Seth Clearwater padded out in his giant wolf form and looked for the commotion. Everyone's gaze turned towards a small female vampire. What surprised Seth was that she didn't smell bad. In place of the sickly sweet scent that all vampires had was the fragrance of vanilla. He took a whiff of it, the aroma now engraved into his mind. At the slight vibration his sniffing made the girl turned her gaze up, glancing at him.
Seth's whole world suddenly centered around this one girl. He adored her, and would soon come to love her. He wanted to keep her safe, happy, and his.
The young teenager came out of his haze when a high pitched scream echoed throughout the field. The small girl writhed around in pain as a large man came up to her. Just as he was about to pick her up Seth lost all rational thoughts.
The sandy colored wolf barred his teeth and growled threateningly. Seth darted completely out of the forest and positioned himself between the burly vampire and the petite one.
"So you have a pet now, hmm?" The child-like blond hissed.
At this the whole wolf pack came out of nowhere. They crowded around Seth and the young vampire as if to protect them. None were particularly fond of Seth imprinting on this girl, but it was their law to protect all imprints. They weren't going to break it now.
"They're not our pets, but our friends." Carlisle Cullen spoke stiff and formally.
"Tell them to move!" Jane demanded, shrieking when they did not comply.
"I'm afraid that's not possible. It seems," Carlisle stated, "It seems like one of them has mated with her."
Nervous glances were shared between the Cullens. They were antsy and restless, this had not been planned.
Jane stepped towards the girl smiling as she cowered against the wolf. Her stare was directed towards the large black wolf in the front of the group. The wolf, known as Sam Uley dropped to the ground in pain; letting out a howl of agony.
"Stop! Please, don't hurt him!" The dark haired girl shrieked behind them.
"Bree, Bree, Bree." Felix chastised, "We don't want to hurt anyone." He smiled manically, "Just come with us and you'll die quickly. Then no one else will get hurt."
Bree pulled herself up slowly, and tried to move out of the tight circle the wolves had formed. Seth nudged her back gently with pleading brown eyes. Bree didn't know what to do, she didn't want to die but she refused to let any of the wolves take her place.
"You can't prove she's done anything wrong." The human that caused this mess called from under her mates arm. Bree decided she kinda liked her as Jane's attention was turned from the black wolf and towards the human.
Jane snapped her head towards the girl and glared venomously, "I have my orders. Unless you can prove she's not worthless then I cannot leave until she is dead."
Bree whimpered in fright and curled into herself. A tear rolled down her cheek and Seth's gaze snapped to her, as did everyone else's.
"That's not possible." Carlisle murmured, clearly baffled. The doctor walked up to her and reached out to touch her face with a perplexed expression. Seth let out a low snarl as his imprint backed into him in fright.
"Please don't hurt me." She whimpered out.
Carlisle's eyes softened then hardened as Jane walked forward, "She's done nothing wrong. Please Leave." The man tried once more.
"I'll be back in one month. If you haven't figured out this power then The Volturi and I will come and destroy the newborn." She threatened, looking towards the coven leader. Jane hoped her master would be pleased with her decision.
Felix threw a glare towards Bree and followed Jane the opposite direction.
Once they were gone Seth thoroughly looked over the girl currently curled into a ball against him. She was small, like really small and had long dark hair. Her eyes slightly freaked him out, though he wouldn't tell her that though.
Wanting to talk to her he tried to move out of her grip only to find her asleep with dried tears resting on her pale cheeks.
Befuddled, he thought, "Is this normal?"
Edward answered carefully as to not upset him, "No. It's not."
"I'll call Eleazar." Carlisle decided.

"She's not completely vampire. It's her power, you were right Carlisle. I believe she may be turning human." Eleazar nodded towards the girl still sleeping in Seth's arms.
Seth was still worried though, why was she still sleeping? How is she not completely a vampire? When she wakes up will she be scared of him? Thoughts racked the boy's mind.
"I suspect she's still sleeping because she hasn't since she was turned." Carlisle murmured, laying a gentle hand on Seth's shoulder.
"When will she wake up?" You could hear the desperation drip from his words.
"I'm not quite sure… "

Bree could here talking and feel someone holding her. She yawned and curled into a tight ball, trying to go back to sleep… She shot up like a bullet.
"Easy there." Her head darted to the side and was met with a rock. Well…What she thought was a rock.
"Ow." She whimpered holding her head, surprised. Nothing had hurt her as a vampire, but other vampires. Her breath quickened, the small girl was becoming exceedingly frightened.
"What's happening to me?" She breathed out softly.
"That's what we're trying to find out." The blonde doctor gestured towards her.
"How do you feel?" She looked towards the 'rock'. She was met with the sight of a tan muscled shoulder, moving her gaze up she was warm brown eyes and midnight colored hair.
"I'm okay… Who are you?" She asked softly, not daring to raise her voice. She wasn't allowed to speak aloud much.
"Seth," He grinned; "And you are Bree."
Bree blushed and grinned back, the boy's mood was contagious.
Seth gently ran his fingers over a rosy cheek; and looked up at Carlisle.
"Is it really possible? Is she really turning human?" The shape shifter asked, scared it would become untrue.
"It appears so…"

Bree lay quietly against Seth, who refused to let her leave his arms or the bed.
Her thoughts were sluggish as she thought about her human life. It wasn't all that great. She had lived on the street, barely ate, and was constantly running from danger. That wasn't a life in her opinion, no one had wanted her. She was surprised Seth was still around actually.
Her inner turmoil sped up and she pulled away from Seth.
"Bree…What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
"Are you a shape shifter?" The brunette asked unexpectedly, her head darting to the side to look at him.
Now standing, Seth curled his arms around her and buried his head into her neck. "Yes.", Was his muffled reply.
"Aren't you supposed to hate me? Why didn't you let them kill me?" His whole body shook at the thought of what had almost happened. He held her tighter; and replied, "I could never hate you. I…imprinted on you."
"What's that?" She asked, the question was innocent enough, but he was scared she would hate him.
"It means that my heart beats only for you. It means you're the one thing that keeps me grounded.
"Oh."
Seth looked at her through his hair, she didn't seem frightened. She seemed…Thoughtful.
"You don't hate me?" He asked, pain clearly dripping from his words.
She snuggled deeper into his side, "Why would I? You haven't done anything to harm me. Will…Will you still love me if I do turn human?"
The russet skinned boy was appalled she'd think otherwise. "Of course! Imprints are for life; and how could I not?"
The small vampire (of half vampire) just shrugged. "No one's ever wanted me before; they just left me out on the streets.
Seth didn't know what to say, so he just pulled her closer into his side and let her rest her head on his chest.
A/N – Hi! Yes, I know. This isn't cannon pairing, but oh well. I didn't read the book about Bree so if I got her life story wrong, whatever. J This will be a two shot, most likely. Maybe a three shot. I'd like to stick with two though. R&R! - Kat
