Rose clutched her hands onto her mouth.

"Oh no, this is horrible", she said, staring at the screen in front of them.

"Hm", the Doctor responded lazily.

"You've seen this? This mother telling her children that everything's gonna be okay while they're stuck inside this bloody ship and this bloody wave will be drowning them in any moment?" They were watching Titanic together and as the end was near, the story became more and more cruel...

Rose sucked in the air sharply when the situation changed, showing a man committing suicide after killing an innocent man. A tear streamed down her cheek.

"Doctor...", she managed to say after she had taken a few deep breaths. "Isn't this toughing you at all?" She turned to see his face.

He sat there on the sofa just a few inches away from her with an emotionless expression and she could see a golden paper onto his lap.

"You're eating this chocolate again?", she asked a bit puzzled.

"Hm", came the response.

She sighed.

"I know you are not emotionless, but right now it really seems that way."

A few seconds passed before he finally looked up to her.

"What tells you I'm not totally grieving inside?"

"Are you?" Rose arched an eyebrow.

"No", he said finally, putting another piece of chocolate into his mouth.

"Oh com' on", she turned back, watching again as the film couple kissed, not knowing that it might be the last time they saw each other alive.

When Leonardo DiCaprio's dead body finally sank down into the black deepness of water, Rose couldn't hold her emotions back any longer. She cried out in pain and immediately felt the Doctor's hands stroking her carefully.

"Hey", he whispered into her ear "it's just a film story, it didn't happen like that in reality."

But Rose continued crying, her shoulders shaking, tears running down her face.

The Doctor kept her close, wrapping both of his arms around her and letting her lay down her head onto his chest, her tears soaking his shirt.

After a while she calmed down, breathing normally again.

"I'm sorry", she said.

"You don't have to be sorry", he assured her, his free hand finding hers, squeezing it tightly.

She sighed.

The credits were already passing down the screen, the movie was over and she should probably go into her room to change and then go to bed to catch a few hours sleep before their next adventure. But right now she felt so tired and so relieved from everything that she didn't want to move. Still laying on the Doctor's chest, she squeezed his hand back.

"Her name was Rose", she said into the silence "just as my name."

"Yes, but it's a fictional story with fictional characters and an invented love story", the Doctor stated.

"It might have been inspired by a true story", Rose objected, finally raising her head and looking him right into the eyes.

"Yeah..." He watched her with his dark brown eyes, reaching out to wipe away one of her tears. She blushed when she became aware of how close they were, but he did as if he wasn't realizing it.

"Right", he said a bit startled as if he had lost track of what he was about to say.

"Maybe next time we'll watch a comedy instead", he suggested.

Rose smiled a little, stretching her arms and getting up in a sitting position once again.

"Yeah, maybe..."

She reached out, taking a few chocolate pieces from the golden packaging he had left on the sofa, while he took out the film disc, putting it back into its cover.

Rose was about to leave the room in order to go to the bathroom, when she heard the Doctor saying: "Hey, where did my chocolate go?"

She tried to look as innocent as possible, but it didn't work. It never worked.

He pointed out his finger towards her.

"You ate my chocolate", he said accusingly.

"Eh...", Rose hesitated not sure whether to look confused or annoyed.

"It was the last package", he told her.

"I want my chocolate back!"

She sighed.

"I'm sorry I ate it", she finally admitted.

"No you're not! Why did you even eat it? You said you didn't like it..."

"Yeah, but that was only..." She hesitated again. For a second she considered telling the Doctor that she had been planning to stop eating sweets in order to lose a little more weight, but then she thought it might sound odd, telling him these kind of private information, so she kept her mouth shut. She looked at him.

"Are you sulking now?", she asked in disbelieve.

"Yes!", he responded.

"That's just ridiculous!"

"You wouldn't say that if it had been your chocolate", he said defensively.

"Well then, what do you suggest?", she asked.

"You could buy me a new one."

"What?! No!"

"Why not? It was mine and you ate it, so you'll have to buy a new one, that's just logical."

"You can't be serious!", Rose exclaimed. "Do you know what time it is? All shops will be closed."

"Did you just kind of forget that we're in a time machine?", the Doctor said, stressing the last word.

Rose let out a desperate sigh and turned, grapping her jacked from a nearby chair and headed for the door.

"You can bring two, just in case you'll get hungry again!", he shouted after her, but she already slammed the door shut, leaving the Doctor standing alone in his TARDIS.

Suddenly he felt very childish.

Maybe she was right. Maybe he had been ridiculous. Maybe he should go after her...

But then there won't be any chance to get some chocolate for the next few hours.

He decided on preparing some tea, while searching for the right words to apologize when she would come back. A simple peppermint tea, that should be enough to lift up her mood again, he hoped.
