Buffy flipped another burger on the grill.
"Y'know Dawny, you should really learn how to cook. I have to flip these meaty things all day at work."
Her sister grinned. "Yeah but you're so good at it, and you always smell so nice when u come home, sort of a, well, nice smell!"
Buffy frowned. "You gonna start telling me the grease stuck in my hair is nice too?!"
"Well, ermmm, Buffy can you call me down when food's ready? I just remembered -----I've got some homework to do!"
Buffy smirked as she listened to the young girl pound up the stairs. It seemed amazing to her that her lil sis was still sane. After all she had been through, they still managed to have a laugh together: even though it was at her expense!
"knock knock, you there sexy girl?" came a distinctly British accent.
Buffy felt herself tingle at hearing the sound of her secret lover. But hey, wait a minute-7:30pm! What the hell was he doing round her place at this time of evening? They had agreed only to meet at midnight when no-one would find them out.
Whilst checking that Dawn was sill upstairs, Buffy opened the door.
"At last! Bloody hell, it's starting to rain out there don't you know?!"
" I told you not to come here while Dawn is around!" Buffy shouted.
"hey baby, don't be so uptight.I do love you don't you know."
"Well, I love you too." Buffy sighed. "But please go home! Dawn will be down any minute."
"Y'know pet, I think it's such a shame that we have to keep our relationship a secret. We just fit together.you know we do. Ok people may object to us being together but in the end it doesn't matter really does it?"
"No ----but everything's going well here at the moment and I don't want to ruin it."
"Well if that's the way you feel"
"Yes it is, said Buffy, kissing her lover on the forehead."
The figure walked back to the door.
"Hey I do still love you Giles!"
Giles swung round and put a finger to his mouth, "Ssshh---you'll give us away!" And with that he winked then walked out.
