Cigarettes and Strawberry Cake
He was only supposed to get cigarettes, but when he saw the strawberry cake in the bakery window he couldn't help going in and buying it, knowing it would make her happy.
"I'm back." Ren called out as he entered the apartment, kicking the door closed behind him since his hands were full.
"Did you get the cigarettes?" Nana asked as she padded, barefoot, out of the bedroom to greet him, dressed only in a fluffy robe.
"Here are your cigarettes." He said, tossing the carton of Seven Stars cigarettes to her before grabbing two forks from the kitchen and making his way over to the table.
"Thanks. Is that cake?" Nana asked as she followed after him, opening up the cigarettes and lighting one.
Ren smiled as she took a step closer to the table and looked down at the strawberry cake he had placed there.
She smiled and swiped a glob of cream off the top of the cake with her finger, reaching to take out her cigarette with the other. She was just about to lick it off when Ren beat her to it by grabbing her hand and sticking her finger into his mouth. He then licked the cream off, lingering for a few seconds longer than necessary.
Nana used her free hand to remove the cigarette from her mouth and place it on the ash tray on the table, her other hand still in Ren's grip.
When Ren finally removed her finger from his mouth and let her hand go she leaned in and kissed him, her hands instinctually coming up to the base of his neck and her fingers threading through his hair. He kissed her back, his own hands coming forward to rest upon her hips in a tight grip as the kiss deepened.
They stood there kissing for some time before making their way back to the bedroom for a night of bliss.
He had gone out to get cigarettes and ended up coming back with cigarettes and strawberry cake.
A/N: I got this idea while trying to rid myself of a headache one day and decided to role with it. So this was produced. First time writing fanfiction for this manga/anime and hopefully it's enjoyable. If you've watched the anime you may recognize the bit about the cream from the cake from one of the first ten episodes. Enjoy. :D
