Chapter 1

"Oh dear, I can't seem to find it." Regina said as she shuffled through her purse to find her class schedule. Today was her first day of Junior year, at a new school, and she was already on the verge of being late to her first class. "Ah, here it is." she then unfolded it and read aloud the first class listed, "Astronomy with Ms... Swan? That's an odd last name." "Indeed it is." someone announced directly behind her. "Oh" Regina jumped around to find a lovely blonde woman who looked to be very young.

"Um are you in Ms. Swans class? I'm running quite late and I'm not exactly sure where her room is. I'm fearful she will be angered if I turn up tardy, being the first day." Regina rambled to the woman. "In her class? Well, you could say that, the woman chuckled, "being I am her, I suppose Id be in my class." Regina blushed "Oh I see." She stared at the ground for a moment and then looked back to Ms. Swans face. "My apologies for saying your last name sounded odd, I've never heard it as a last name before, it's unique, which I think makes it lovely."

Ms. Swan giggled at the girls constant rambling, and the sound made Regina smile brightly. "Your apologies? You're officially the most adorable person I've met, Miss..." The woman trailed off, hoping the young student would fill in the blank space. Regina was blushing brightly at being called adorable by this woman and quietly said, "Mills, Regina Mills." Ms. Swan extended her hand, "Well, nice to meet you Miss Adorable Mills, I'm Emma," Regina took her hand and gently shook. " but Ms. Swan in class." she finished, smirking. Regina smiled.

"Speaking of class, we're both about hmm, 10 minutes late now. Whaddaya say we both walk in late together, with about thirty students staring us down, At least we'll be embarrassed together," Emma said, adding a lopsided smile, that Regina gushed at seeing. "I say deal." she responded, then glanced down at their hands, still linked from shaking hands. Emma followed her gaze and blushed deeply then awkwardly let go. They both awkwardly cleared their throats and then made like nothing happened, and began to walk in unison to the classroom.
