Lying there asleep
(Zelgadis stares at the sleeping figure in bed.)
I wonder if she knows that I am going away
(Even though it's been awhile since he last traveled, Zelgadis finds himself wanting to find a cure.)
Packed up and I am heading out the bedroom door
(He picks up his travel pack from the floor and turns towards the door.)
I'm feeling kinda guilty but this can't be changed
("I love you Zelgadis-san, no matter what you look like."
Zel sighs as he remembers her words.)
Will she resent me for this
(He turns around and gently kisses Ameria's forehead and says,)
I've said I'm sorry
But please don't worry
There's nothing that I can do
I won't forget you
Feel bad I left you
I promise I'll be back soon
(Quickly, the Chimera leaves.)
It's been two weeks now
Since I left you at the window with sad eyes
(Zelgadis remembers looking back at the palace and seeing Ameria searching for him. She's one step away from flooding the entire palace.)
It's bad 'cos I can't even talk t'you on the phone
(Zelgadis' search seems to be fruitful. There had been more clues in the past few days then in the past few years.)
But you know that very son now I'll be home
And you will always forgive me.
(As Zel enters some temple ruins, he pulls out a very familiar pink locket and says a silent prayer.)

But please don't worry
There's nothing that I can do

Feel bad I left you
I promise I'll be back soon
(Zelgadis finds an old book deep within the ruins. His face quickly lights.)

(He chants the incantation within the book. Energy surrounds him as he cries in anguish.)
I'm coming home now
It won't be long now
I'll see you at the break of dawn now
(Zelgadis gasps as he awakens. He looks at his hands and laughs.)
I've said I'm sorry
But please don't worry
There's nothing that I can do

I promise I'll be back soon
(Zel's running back to Seyruun. The book firmly clutched in one hand, Ameria's locket in the other.)
I'm coming home now
(He enters the City's gates)
It won't be long now
(After a few choice words, mainly fireball, he makes it past two newly burnt palace guards.)
I'll see you at the break of dawn now
(Ameria gasps as a human Zelgadis enters her chamber.
"I'm home." Zelgadis smiles
"Zelgadis?" Ameria notices her locket and runs into her lover's arms. "Welcome home.")
