Even though I am grounded at home, this site FINALLY isn't blocked at school! SO HOORAY! XD
So far away was the season that Sakura loved: spring. It was when her namesake bloomed, most of the Konoha citizens were happy, and she could have an excuse to train with Aburame Shino. Both Naruto and Sasuke were gone, and Sakura didn't fully trust Kakashi. While Kiba wasted his training time attempting to court the "Naruto-struck" Hinata, Sakura put all of Tsunade's teachings to use with Shino.
Sakura liked Shino. He was the strong and silent type. He didn't waste words, he didn't have an impossible goal, and he was just plain interesting. Sakura never dared to ask him what he felt for her. She was just a sparring partner, that was all.
Spring was weeks away. It was still very cold and snow-prone. Sakura used the time of winter to improve her medicinal knowledge. She wasn't expecting to see Shino stand by her doorstep when she exited her home one February morning.
"Shino-kun!" Sakura gasped. "I thought your team wasn't going to return from the extended mission until next month!"
Shino shrugged. "I left early. It got boring over there." he looked away. "I was wondering if I could walk with you...at least to Hokage-sama's tower..."
Sakura nodded with a smile. "Sure, that would be nice."
"Let's go, then."

Should I...? Sakura wondered halfway through the walk, her hand twitching with the instinct to grab Shino's hand. She sighed and reached for Shino's hand. She held her breath, waiting for a rejection...or at least some sort of reaction.
Shino gently tightened his grip and interlaced his fingers with hers. He blushed underneath his coat, and he saw Sakura look away, and he knew she blushed as well.
They didn't look at each other, or say anything, the rest of the trip. The two reached their destination and slowly broke apart.
Sakural looked into Shino's dark glasses. "Well..."
She started when Shino reached for a strand of her hair and ran his fingers through it. His knuckles brushed against her jawline, and she closed her eyes.
Shino used his other hand to pull down the part of his coat covering his mouth, and he leaned in towards Sakura, gently pressing his lips against hers.
Sakura's breath hitched in her throat as she felt herself kissing him back.
Shino released her and stepped back slightly. "May I return this afternoon to walk you home, Sakura-chan?"
Sakura nodded, smiling widely. "Yes, Shino-kun, you may."
Uwaa, plotless fluff makes me happy! XD It's a drabble sort of thing, but it still makes me happy! One of my top pairings and fluff... and the fact that this site is no longer Websensed!!! Woot!
