"There it is" said Gabby. She had been looking for this place for almost two days now." It looks like a big, pink castle, almost" her mom had said, "If you can find my friend, Ryou, you will be safe from your father." Gabby didn't want to think about her father. She couldn't believe someone would act so nice to her in public and then beat her and her mom at home.

Gabby checked her watch 12:28am. She was glad her mom had given her keys to this café, although she wondered where her mom got these keys. Gabby walked across the lawn to the back door, unlocked it, closed it and locked it back up. "Ryou's room is upstairs, second door on the right". Her mother's voice echoed in her head. Gabby silently climbed the stairs, and walked over to his door.

She opened the door to find a young man, with blonde hair and blue eyes sitting up in his bed reading a book. "Are-are you Ryou?" Gabby managed to stammer, she was often very shy. "Who is asking?" the man asked without filching. "I-I have t-to know if your Ryou or not. Mommy said if I found him Daddy couldn't hurt me any more. I don't like it when daddy hurts mommy or me... She said this is where Ryou lives, so you have to be Ryou." Gabby said fast and when she finished, Gabby burst into tears. "Okay, I still don't have a clue who you are, but you seem to know me, so why don't you tell me about you, okay?" Ryou said in an attempt to make her calm down.

Gabby nodded "I'm Gabby and I'm a ten years old girl, with red hair, hazel eyes and light skin. I live in Serberbia, Japan, with my mom, dad, and baby sister, Julia. Two days ago my mom told me I had to run away so daddy wouldn't be able to hurt me any more. She told me to go to a big, pink, castle-like café, and gave me a key to the back door. So I came here like I was told to looking for you." "Seams like you have had a rough two days, Gabby-san." was all Ryou could say. "Actually, I had more fun then I've ever had at home, except I got a little hungry today." She replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "Then let's get you something to eat, after that you can get some sleep in the bed behind the office." Ryou said in a kind tone. "Thanks, Ryou-san".

They walked out of his room and down to the kitchen. Ryou made some eggs for her and talked to her while she ate. "Since you did this I will too. My name is Ryou, I am 33, and I live here with my friend, Keiichiro. This is a real working café, and I even have some girls who enjoy working here, Purin, and Lettuce." "It seams we have company!" said a voice behind them. Gabby jumped and a cat's tail and ears slipped out. She attempted to conceal them, but they had all ready been seen. "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. My name is Keiichiro, what's is yours?" came Wesley's soothing voice. "Gabby, sir." she relaxed a bit, and the tail and ears went away.

"Gabby, why do you have cat ears and a tail?" Ryou said in the nicest voice he could manage. Gabby shrugged, and then yawned. "I don't know I've had them for as long as can remember." "Are you sleepy Gabby?" questioned Wesley. "Just a bit." " One more question before you go to bed. What is your mother's name?" demanded Ryou. Gabby face screwed up in concentration." She said...to tell you...Baka Strawberry, but she wouldn't tell me why."

Ryou knew at once, who she was taking about. "I haven't heard from her in a long time, come on I'll take you to bed, okay?" Gabby hopped off her chair " Ready when you are." Ryou and her then walked to the room with the bed behind the offices. "Ryou?" " Hmm," "Thanks for taking me in, it really means alot to me." Ryou just smiled.
