Everything was so muffled, the sound didn't seem to reach his ears and everything seemed so far away. He couldn't open his eyes, no, he didn't want to, he was too afraid of what he would find when he opened them. Yes, Tony Stark was afraid, as would any man in this situation should be. He could hear the destruction being done to the city and the yells of the citizens. He heard the Hulk giving out yet another mighty roar but soon that to be drowned out by louder noises. He wondered, for the fifth time that evening what time it was, how long this had been going on, and how far they actually were from victory.
Tony tried to move but winced in pain and strain, his suit was weighting him down but he wouldn't complain, it was the same suit that just saved his life from the nasty fall he just talk, if you consider a plummet from the earth's atmosphere a nasty fall.
Tony's senses were slowly returning to him, he could feel the air brush past his face, telling him that his face plate was gone; he could smell the air and the scent of smoke and dust that lingered with it. Most of all, he could feel the pain. His body was heavy, mostly from the suit, yes, but that wasn't it, it was more them likely that he broke something, a few ribs if he was lucky.
He could feel his breaths coming out in pants and suddenly he could feel how tired he really was. He knew that he was close to passing out but before he could give it another thought, he heard footsteps. They were slow and steady, to calm to be any of his teammates. Soon the footsteps came to a stop beside him and soon he could feel some sort of liquid spill on his face, he flinched but could easily recognize the liquid as wine from the smell. Tony struggled to open his eyes, his vision impaired, blurred, from both the liquid and from the amount he had them closed. "If it's all the same to you." The person said, his voice dripping with smugness. Tony's sight had finally cleared and he could see that it was Loki and he didn't bother to hide his glare.
The god crouched down beside him, a satisfied smile on his face as he took Tony by the chin and brought him closer, "I'll have that drink now." Loki ran his tongue along Tony's cheek, taking in the sweet liquid of the wine while enjoying the sight of pure anger and even hatred that showed in the man of Iron's eyes before finally they closed. Loki could only smile as he thought of how troughs eyes would look when they opened again to fine the damage done to his once precious city.
Yeah I know that this chapter is very very very very short but I's only the first chapter, and it's only so I can get the setting up, I'm planning on going places with this fic
