DB,where do the ducks go in winter?
DB
Holden, you've asked me that so many times and I always give you the same answer
HOLDEN
What?
DB
The ducks go south because it is warmer there
HOLDEN(looks quizzically at DB)
Why?
DB
well, this pond freezes over in the winter and the can't get the food they need here. anyway ducks like warm weather.
HOLDEN
Well I guess that makes sense.
HOLDEN and DB sit in silence for a little while
ALLIE
DB! my boat went out too far can you go get it?
DB sighs gets up and walks toward ALLIE and the boat
