KEY: STUFF LIKE THIS MEANS KATARA'S THOUGHTS. Stuff like this is a flash back.
THE LONGEST TALK
Katara watched as Aang flew away on his glider, to face the Fire Lord. Her face grew hot and red. "Katara, what are you doing? We're ready to submerge." She heard her brother Sokka say. "Right," she said jumping on Appa, and making a bubble around his head.
Katara kept replaying that moment in her head. They had finally reached the Air Temple, and were building camp. She couldn't believe how stupid she had been. Why didn't I see it before? Wasn't it obvious, the way he felt about me? "Katara, what are you doing? Now that won't light! Get your head out of the clouds!" Sokka had caught her waterbending a piece of fire wood. "Oops, sorry." I have to stop thinking about this! But how can I? Can anyone really blame me? Who would have known, that day in the iceberg that we would have fallen in love? WAIT; did I just think what I think I thought? Huh? "KATARA!" Sokka screamed her name, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"What?"
"I called your name five times! What's up with you?!"
"Sorry, Sokka, I've got a lot on my mind."
"Well, you're no use like this! Go sit down and think about what ever it is. Aang, fix Katara's tent." Sokka said looking at Aang, while sat feeding Momo. " k," Aang stood up and went over to take Katara's tent.
That night, Katara sat looking at the sky while everyone slept. At least she thought everyone was asleep. Toph walked over quietly, and sat next to her. "Is it that bad between you and twinkle toes?" Toph said, after getting in a conferrable position. "How'd you know?" Katara said surprised. "Oh please, I could feel you guys kissing up there! And I can also feel the way your heart pounds every time he even gets near you. I might be blind, but I'm not stupid." Toph said matter-of-factly. "What should I do?" Katara looked down at her hands. "Just tell him how you feel. You already know he feels the same way, best thing is to talk about it."
"Thanks Toph, your right."
"Always am," Toph said smiling.
Katara woke up the next morning dripping with sweat, today was the day she would talk to Aang. "Um, Aang, can we talk?"
"Sure Katara, what's up?"
"I just wanted to… um… talk to you about the moment… b-before you left to, uh, face the Fire Lord."
"Oh, right. Listen Katara, I, uh, never meant to do that. If it made you feel weird, you can just forget about it. I never expected you to like m…" he never got to finish that sentence. Katara never let him. She grabbed the front of his robe and pulled him closer, and closer, until his face was right in front of his. "I never said it made me feel weird." She whispered and pulled him until his lips met hers.
