So, this fic is based off a tumblr post I saw and I just had to do it: "I wish there were necklaces given to us at birth that were half of a unique shape and your soulmate wore the other half and they got warmer the closer together you were and colder the further away you were so you could go on this journey when you're ready to find your other half so that you could be spared all the pain and heartbreak of being played with by those who don't take dating as seriously as you do" It's only a short one-shot for now, but maybe I can continue it if I get more inspiration. I don't out OUAT or any of the characters, or the idea.
Regina felt the half-circle pendant of her necklace slowly become warmer and she looks down to the necklace confused. The last time she felt it get warm was 28 years ago as she cast her curse, until it suddenly went cold and she assumed her Soulmate was left behind in the other world. She shakes her head, she has no time to think about Soulmate. Her son is missing. She fiddles with the necklace absent-mindedly whilst pacing in front of the Sheriff.

Emma's hand flies to her half-circle necklace as she enters the town-line of Storybrooke in her yellow bug, with Henry talking on about some curse. She doesn't understand why the necklace is suddenly warm, but she doesn't dwell too long on the thought as she asks Henry where to go. Emma arrives at the mansion and looks at it in awe, then realizes that her necklace is getting hotter. Not hot that it burns her, but enough to catch her attention. Right as she reaches to grab the necklace, a brunette woman rushes out of the house and her hand drops.

Regina hears a car pulling onto her street and feels the necklace slowly getting hotter. She looks out the window as she sees Henry exit a car, she runs out of her house with Sheriff Graham on her tail.
"Henry!" She shouts as she pulls her son into her arms. "Henry, are you okay? What happened?"
"I found my real mom!" Henry pulls away from Regina and runs into the house, Graham following after him. Regina looks up, confusion in her eyes as she feels the necklace burning against her skin.
"You're Henry's birth mother?" Regina asks as Emma smiles slightly.
"Hi." Emma replies shyly, reaching up to fiddle with her necklace as Regina's eyes reach the necklace that is a mirror image of her own, then she looks back into the blonde's eyes.
"How would you like a glass of the best apple cider you've ever tasted?" The brunette asks, a smile on her face.
"Got anything stronger?" Emma replies.
