Title: Chilled

Series: Pokémon Black/White

Summary: Winter comes to Unova. Fluff ensues. N/Touya SLASH

A/N: If you don't want to read slash/romance between two male characters, then please turn back now.

This was originally written as a response to the following prompt on 'pokanon': "It's winter in BW now, so I'm requesting some winter-related fluff. Either N/Black or White/Bianca (or both?) holding hands to keep each other warm in the cold, or something like that. (Pre-established relationship would be cool too.)" Since I have been fairly inactive on this site recently, I thought I'd post it here too.

"Are you done?"

N blinked at Touya. "Done with what?"

He rolled his eyes and counted backwards from ten. "Done glaring at the Season Research Lab. We can go look around a second time if it's bothering you that much."

Some of the falling snow had gotten in N's hair, glistening as it melted. Despite the change of seasons and the impending cold, N had refused to buy any thicker clothes, opting for his usual windbreaker and long sleeve. On the other hand, Touya had a new jacket, toque, boots, scarf and mittens. He even filled his bag with instant hot chocolate packages...in case of an emergency.

"No, that's not necessary," N said, finally turning away. "The Deerling were very happy. I think the scientists enjoy spoiling them."

"But it's the principle of the thing, right?"

N was silent.

Sighing, Touya leaned forward and pressed their foreheads together. N's cap was forced back, the brim sticking up a funny angle. "I understand, N. Really. I do."

"I… I know," he whispered softly. Although N denied being cold, his cheeks were flushed and his lips were tinged with red. It reminded Touya of the time they bought cherry popsicles at the Nimbasa City fair grounds. The image of spotless, beautiful N struggling with his suddenly sticky fingers came to mind, and he couldn't help but smile.

N's lips parted when Touya leaned in closer, gasping when their lips just brushed. This was still new to both of them: the lingering touches, the looks they shared when no one was watching… But Touya didn't dare push too hard. He closed his eyes and went to move away.

Long fingers tangled in the fabric of his toque, pulling him in again.

"Don't go," N whispered against his skin, somewhere between a plea and a command. His breath felt hot, almost feverish, and Touya's hands wound around his back, holding him close.

"You're shivering," Touya muttered.

"I know," N repeated, smirking. "But not because of the cold."

The next kiss was different. N took the lead, guiding Touya to right where he wanted him. Their mouths opened and it became messy and unpracticed and raw, but addicting all the same. Touya couldn't think, couldn't focus on anything except for the flare of heat when N's lips slide against his.

After what felt like an eternity, N pulled away, leaving Touya with too many questions and not enough coherency to ask.

"Umm…" Futilely, he gestured between them.

With a cryptic smile, N reached for his hand. "Mistralton is too far, but we can still reach Chargestone by nightfall."

Touya blinked. As always, N was impossible to predict.

With one last look at the falling snow, Touya peeled off one of his mittens and stuffed it into his bag. Then, he took N's hand, entwining their fingers. His hand was warm in a different way than hot chocolate or fire places or layers upon layers of winter clothing. It was like holding a newly hatched Pokémon and feeling the precious, new creature take its first breaths.

"What about the cave I wanted to check out" Touya asked. "I think it's somewhere around here…"

"Don't worry, Touya. I factored that into my calculations."

He laughed. "Yeah. I'm sure you did."
