The last time Lavender screamed was right before she died.
She had paused to check on one of the fallen when she was tackled to the floor. Her wand was sent clattering from her hand. Instead of struggling against her attacker, she made a grab for her wand but it was too far out of reach. Agonizing pain shot through her as teeth pierced her neck, and a blood-curdling scream escaped past her lips. It was drowned out in the midst of war.
Lavender died with the image of war slowly fading as her eyes fluttered to their very last close.
