Disclaimer: if NCIS was mine, we would've seen a lot more of Kate and Ari, so no, this TV show does not belong to me.
To sara fénix black. Sis, this is for you. Thanks for making me watch one of the best TV shows ever. I'll send you an Ari Haswari for Christmas. I promise.
"Classic Stockholm Syndrome. She formed an emotional attachment to her captor." - Kate Todd
And one second after she ended that sentence, she felt a little chill going down her spine. Kate never intended to think about him, but deeply in her mind she knew that that was unavoidable. She raised her eyes to look at Tony and McGee, but fortunately they did not seem to make the relation she had made.
Captor. Emotional attachment.
She knew that some way it was ridiculous that those words make her feel so vulnerable, but they did. Just after she said that, she began to remember the two times she was with the terrorist.
The first one (when that bastard kidnapped Gerald, Ducky and herself on their own agency) still made her feel so angry and impotent. She had the perfect opportunity to stab him, to disable him or maybe to kill him, but then she saw his eyes. She saw kindness, but that feeling ended abruptly when he grabbed her by her wrists and make her stand closer to him. Then, all she saw was nothing because the only thing she could do was feel. Feel his scent on her face, his hands on her arms and his chest touching hers.
The second time was a little different. She had almost forgotten the face of the man that had hit her a couple of times in the car, but she had not forgotten the touch of Ari on her face checking if she was fine, acting like if he was not the one that kept her there. And all she could think at that moment was that several hours before she had smiled at him when he was riding his motorcycle. Later that day, when they were outside sitting at the wooden table, she was only thinking that he was kind of a gentleman. A terrorist, but a gentleman.
Captor. Emotional attachment.
But what scared her most was not that she dared to make a connection between those concepts and Ari Haswari. She was scared because somehow that felt good.
A/N: OMG, this is my first NCIS fic, so I hope you liked it. Sorry if you see any mistakes, but English is not my first language (although I checked it like a million times).
Reviews are nice, so feel free to leave your comments. Thanks for reading!
