I wanted to write Lotor angest since I fell in love with him (which is when he was announced). And now he also killed my favorite Narti (I forgive him). I headcanon that Lotor and the girls were a family, so I had that as a big factor in this.

I saw an awesome pic that just sparked this idea and all rights to the cover picture goes to the artist. You are awesome!

I do not own Voltron LD or the characters, I wish but I don't.

It was in that space ship, alone, when everything truly hit him like a punch to the face.

He killed Narti.

He sent Zethrid, Ezor, and Acxa into space.

He separated his family. The only one he had since he was a child.

Lotor sighed and leaned back in his chair, eyes staring off into the vast space.

What Zethrid, Ezor, and Acxa did he could understand. They couldn't trust him if he killed Narti in cold blood.

Narti.

It wasn't her fault. Narti was under control of that quiznaking witch Haggar. He was sure of it.

Lotor closed his eyes and rested his head on the seat.

She would never willingly betray him.

But he killed her anyway.

He would kill the Witch because of this.

Then...he doesn't know what next.

What is left of Lotor's generals would never trust him again. Not that he blamed them.

He killed family with no remorse, after all.

Even Acza, and she was the most loyal. Always followed him even if she didn't agree with his choices.

His family is gone and it's all his FAULT!

HE KILLED NARTI WHEN IT WASN'T HER FAULT!

HE MADE THE REST OF HIS ONLY FAMILY NOT TRUST HIM!

IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!

Lotor's claws extended and he took a deep breath, forcing them away.

Getting angry at himself isn't going to lead anywhere.

Something was irritating his cheek fur. Lotor used a hand to wipe his right cheek and brought it to his face. Tears, of course.

Lotor closed his eyes once again. He imagined that everything was okay.

Ezor said something funny that her and Zethrid were laughing loudly at. To anyone else it would be obnoxious, but it was music to his ears. Acza had a smile on her face. Others would say she was uptight, but to him it showed how hard she worked for her place. Narti's shoulders shook in silent laughter. People believe she doesn't speak because she thinks she is better than them, but he knew she had nothing to say. The world was brighter.

He opened his eyes. The ship was darker than in his memories. He was alone.

A small, broken voice appeared in the thick silence.

"What are you willing to lose for power?"

It's a bit short, but I did write it in Geometry when we were finished with work.
