"Finally awake, huh?"
In the middle of the living room there was a man sat on the brown couch - that occupied almost all the room's space -, hands cupping the top of his cafe mug. His hair was brushed back, without the usual cap, and only shorts and a black tank top covered his body. He was still more well dressed than the other man that entered the place, ginger bangs messed between auburn sleepy eyes, shirt with most of the buttons opened, only wearing underwear on his lower part.
"I didn't know you were the kind that oversleeps."
"I usually don't have much time to sleep, so when I sleep, I do it too much."
Kadota's eyes follow the younger man make his way to his side, yawning as he steals the mug from his hands; he only protests in response, but leave Chikage take a few sips. The redhead finally raised his head, and the fact he didn't seem tired surprised him because he was pale, gaze worried over something he didn't know the other could have right after waking up.
"Are you fine?"
The elder always asks whenever he sees the other, as a good friend... And lover. Despite it had been a while they see each other like this, both still maintain the subject in secret, for some unknown reason.
"Yeah, I'm just sleepy. By the way, if you need to go out you don't need to worry about me, alright?" Returning the object, he lays his back on the sofa. "I know I appeared here kind of late yesterday and didn't even ask if you had plans, sorry about that."
"You should have said it when you arrived, not now."
Chikage gave a light chuckle, bending legs to fit entirely on the couch.
"Yeah, I forgot, sorry about that."
"Hm. In any case, there's no way I can go out on this rain, and I didn't have plans. You can stay as long as you wan- Are you sure you're okay?"
The rain began to pound against the window, blurring the view from the city. The apartment was small but comfortable, and even though it was windy strongly on the outside, where they were was snug enough. However, one time or another a thud deafened the drops noise, followed by flashes in the sky. In one, the smaller man choked, coughing a little while looking away.
"I think it was the coffee."
"You weren't even drinking it right now."
The gang leader kept looking away, until another thunder was heard, making him flinch a bit. The elder placed a hand on his shoulder and Chikage almost refused it, as if no, he wasn't afraid of the thunder like Kadota thought.
Yet, his eyes were illuminated two more times with the sky and Kyohei didn't have time enough to see the movement the other made - quickly sitting on his lap and burying his face on the connection between neck and shoulder. He could feel well the strands of hair messing even more against his skin, the deep sigh the redhead let out, the fact he made absolutely no sounds besides the one of hands clenching in shirt.
"It gives me frights, sorry."
Kadota could feel the pout under lowered head, the disappointment with himself for letting another person knowing his weakness - if it was even one that could be used - and he knew how much the gang leader would be affected if he was made fun of something like that.
Maybe Chikage knew Kadota wouldn't tease him, and that's exactly why he showed signs of sincerity.
Probably.
"I... Feel uncomfortable when I'm in complete darkness."
Rokujo looked up at him, a little confused by the sudden statement, starting to smile a bit. Kadota, on other side, felt color staining his cheeks a bit.
"Is that so? I would never imagine it."
"Yes."
Chikage's smile finally came fully in a chuckle, still holding the other tight They touched foreheads, the raven finally accompanying his expression when a click was heard in the entire house after another thunder.
And everything became black as Chikage invited his lips to a silent kiss.
"It seems like we won't get out of here soon."
"Yeah."
