"Are you ever going to leave her?" Katherine asked her secret lover as she was laying in his arms. She knew what the answer was going to be, but she liked to pretend that there was a possiblity for something real between them. Not just some stolen moments here and there.
"Kat, I've told you this before." He answered. He slowly got up, he'd been laying with her far too long. Usually after they had sex he got up and left, but he was extremely tired and he couldn't get the strength to get up until she asked those kinds of questions.
She sat up, pulling the sheets with her. "I know I'm just some woman you have sex with, but I love you, Mike." She told him even though she knew what he was going to say.
"Don't say things like that, I love Susan, not you." He said coldly.
"That's why you spend three nights a week over here instead of at home with her." She said sarcastically.
"I'm serious, drop it. You know I don't like talking about Susan with you. In fact, you know I don't like talking about anything with you." He stared at her. He knew he was being harsh with her, but he also knew she would still want him the next day.
"You think you can just fuck me and then disgrace me, well, it's not going to happen anymore." She angirly got up with the sheets pulled tight around her.
"Please, you say that all the time and the next day you spread your legs wide for me." He smirks at her, knowing it was true.
"I shouldn't be going on like this and I'm not going to anymore. I'm twenty three years old, I shouldn't be wasting my time with some married guy who doesn't give a damn about me. I should be out there looking for someone who actually cares." She told him, but it seemed to him that she was trying to convince herself of what she was saying.
"Alright Katherine, I'll see you tomorrow." He laughed as he finished getting dressed.
"No Mike, you won't. I'm ending this once and for all. I'm tired of being your tramp. I want something better for myself." She told him seriously and he could now tell that she wasn't joking around.
"Whatever Katherine, but when you can't find what you're looking for, don't come running back to me." He told her and walked out.
