Summary : The constant shadow of The Nightmare Man that she lives under.
Children should not know the pain of suffering. They should not know what it is to be so terrified of anything but the monsters in their heads, and in the closets. Children sould be able to close theirs eyes , snuggle down in their beds, hold onto their teddy bears, and dream of all those impossible things only children can beleive in.
She could remeber her mom telling her that is you cant see them, then they cant see you. If you close your eyes, real tight, and thInk of your favourite place, then you cant see the monsters and they cant follow you there. It seemed like such a long time ago when she was told this. It was such a long time ago when she believed this. Because he could follow her anywhere.
