Chapter 1 The Beginning

Brian and Jasmine were outside on a field when Jasmine suddenly opened her palm and out came a blue jade.

"Freak, you are such a weirdo I'm telling mom." Brian yelled and ran off towards their house.

A boy suddenly said behind her, "don't worry he's just jealous."

Jasmine turned around she saw a boy with black greasy hair, "jealous of what?" she asks.

"you are defiantly a witch. My name is Severus Snape."

"my name is Jasmine Walker what do you mean 'witch'?"

"you are a witch a magical person. Your brother is a muggle a non-magical person." Severus explains sitting down.

"that's cool." Jasmine says sitting down next to him "want to cloud watch with me?"

"what is that?"

"oh, you have to lye down and look at the sky. When you see a odd shape or something that looks like something you just point at it." she explains.

"okay that should be easy." he says as he lies down next to her. "I just see a blob."

Jasmine giggled, "oh Severus, use your imagination like that 'blob' looks like a fancy ball."

"your right. Like that one over there looks like a house." Severus says pointing to a fancy looking cloud.

"yeah, it looks like the candy house from Hansel and Gretal."

"what's Hansel and Gretal?" Severus asks.

"you have a lot to learn. I'll read you the story sometime I promise." Jasmine says smiling to herself.

On Jasmine's birthday all the Walkers were in the dining room eating breakfast when an owl flew through the window.

"what the-?" Brian says as he watched the owl drop a letter on Jasmine's lap.

Jasmine opens the letter, the letter had a wax seal. When Jasmine finished reading she handed her parents Lila and Jonathon the letter.

Later on Jasmine walked outside having a big smile on her face Severus was right she thought but her thoughts were interrupted because Brian came out and started yelling at her.

"you are a freak! I knew you were weird from the start, but mom and dad never listened they should've sent you to a boarding school!"

Jasmine started running away from him.

"you come back here little girl." he snarled.

But she didn't stop. Brian came closer and grabbed her arm, he was holding on to her so tight that her arm started to go red.

"let her go, Brian!" Jasmine's mom yelled.

"but mom she tried to run away from here." Brian complained.

"let her go and follow me." Her mom ordered glancing behind Jasmine's back.

The very first rule in the Walker family is to always listen to mom. Brian obeyed and followed his mother in the house.

"are you alright?" Severus asked from behind.

"yes Severus, since when were you here?"

"well since Brian started yelling at you, your mom knows me so she left you here to talk to me."

"since when did you know my mom?" Jasmine asks turning around.

"when I came over your house, you weren't there at the time so your mom started talking to me." Severus answers simply.

"good enough for me. Want to play the cloud game?"

"sure." Severus answers lying down.
