Hey there, ZPF here. I'm doing a test fic on my new "Kingsoft Office" app. Yeah, I've been using my Kindle lately for a lot of things. This will probably be the most random drabble ever... Oh well. Enjoy. ^^
Link walked down the hallway of the Smash Mansion, bored. Why was Link bored? Well, there were no Brawls today. And nobody was allowed to visit their home universes for another few weeks. So, naturally, everyone, not just Link, was bored. Even his friend, Alex, was bored. Alex's sister, Selene, was as well. So, to relieve himself of boredom, Link tried to see if he could train. But when he went to the training area, Ike, Marth, Pit, and Toon Link were already there, beating up Sandbag.
Since there was no available training at the moment, Link went to get something to eat. Upon making it to the dining room, however, there was Yoshi and Kirby sitting at a table with what looked like all the food in the Mansion. Everyone knew not to bother them when they're eating no matter what. That meant that there was literally nothing to eat. Unless the hungry person in question had a death wish, of course.
Now frustrated, Link went in his room where Pikachu was playing with a Poké Doll. Link greeted the little electric mouse and sat down on his bed. He turned on his TV and flicked through all the channels. Alas, there was nothing on. He had either seen all the episodes or movies, or he hated the shows that were airing at that moment. And he never liked the news. It always seemed to be depressing when he watched it.
Then, Link decided he could go and catch Pokémon in the forest. He grabbed his backpack that Red gave him and went out to train his Pokémon and welcome new ones on his small team. As he walked through the dark forest, he fought and caught some 'mons... Until he came across a Riolu. And not just any Riolu... IT WAS SHINY! Link came close to screaming as he brought out his Aegislash. Since the thing was so overpowered, Link made it use False Swipe to leave the yellow Riolu with a bit of health left.
Link used Great Ball!
Argh! So close!
Riolu used Foresight!
Riolu identified Aegislash!
Link used Ultra Ball!
Congratulations! Riolu was caught!
Link slowly walked over to the Ultra Ball and picked it up before doing what any trainer would when they catch a shiny. "Oh... My... GODDESSESIGOTASHINYRIOLU! AHHHHHH! THANK YOU ARCEUS FOR MAKING THIS SHINY RIOLU!"
After dancing happily, he immediately sprinted back to the Mansion. He ran into Red, and he released the Emanation Pokémon from its Ultra Ball. The little Riolu smiled at Red, who stared down at it in shock for a few moments before chasing Link through the Mansion, demanding that he gets the Riolu through trade.
It was certainly the most exciting day ever for the Hero of Time.
I have to say, all of this was just thought of off the top of my head as I wrote it. I really wanted to make it a silent fic, but there had to be that little outburst at the end. I had to do the Pokémon battle reference too. :3 The way Link reacted would be the way I would. But I'm sure anyone would act that way with a shiny. Now, I'm not sure if Aegislash can learn False Swipe, but it makes sense... Considering it's a sword. See ya next time!
