Title: Rachel the (not very) Smooth Badass (Number Wah!)
Spoilers: A little bit of s2e11
Summary: It's Valentines' and Rachel's all ready to romanticize her girlfriend, until Santana steps in.

A/N: Might be a little late on this since Valentine's almost over here and I think the States are approximately 12 hrs behind but I honestly hope this is pleasant to read. All mistakes belong to me.
A smirk crept onto her face as she strutted. The student mass parted to let her through as they watched Rachel Berry make her way through the hallway. She could feel the stares undressing her and she couldn't care less because dangit, Rachel Berry's on a mission. A mission to make her girlfriend swoon. Santana, on the other hand, wouldn't call it a mission but a dare for Rachel to make a romantic gesture all by her own without any help and "definitely no singing" (she had made early engagements with the A/V club to dress as cupids to accompany her when she serenades Quinn).
So here she is, in one of Quinn's old hoodie that was in faded pale pink and black skinnies. Thats right. Rachel Berry's wearing skinny jeans. And to top it off, white Converse. Secretly, she feels like a badass rockstar but right now's not the moment for her ego to gloat albeit she does like the looks she's getting from her peers and she needs them to be her witnesses so that her plan succeeds. She has it all planned out: kiss her girlfriend by her locker and ask her whether would she like to attend Quinn's all time favourite rock band, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert with her that was happening at the next town on Saturday night; all this whilst she fishes out the tickets from her back pocket with the grace of the Secret Masked Magician when he pulls a bouquet of flowers from his sleeves. Forget badass, Rachel thought, a smooth one at it too.
Eventually, she does find her girlfriend at her locker but Karofsky's standing between them with his mouth wide open as he stares at Rachel. She spots the cup he's holding in his hand and she almost breaks into her award winning smile but she doesn't because this part is going to be crucial. It was never in the plan at all but this is going to earn her brownie points. As she walks past him, she flicks her hand towards the cup he's holding and the next thing Dave Karofsky knows, his football jacket is covered with blue ice chunks.
Finally (finally!) she reaches her girlfriend.
"Quinn -" Hazel meets dark chocolate and suddenly Quinn pulls Rachel in for a kiss.
"That was so hot." Quinn murmurs as they come up for air. Rachel's eyes are still closed when she finds herself being yanked away by Quinn to the main door. As they push through the students, they pass Santana who looked as if she has just been told she was going to be stuffed into Sue Sylvester's canon and Brittany, who smiles, does a fist pump accompanied with a "Number Wah!".
Maybe she'll save the in-your-face dance to Santana for another day._
