James was shown into the colourless white room by one of the nurses; he took his seat at the desk opposite to Doctor Burke, a scrawny grey haired man whose physical stature and appearance added at least ten years to his age. The doctor opened up a file and quickly skimmed through the first page; James merely looked blankly at the table, in a semi-fatigued and lucid state. Doctor Burke closed the file and said in an artificially cheerful way "Good morning Mr Sunderland, and how are we this afternoon?", James slowly looked up and faintly said,

"Fine, thank you", Doctor Burke smiled and said,

"Glad to hear it, now, since you are new here, I want to let you know that, we are here to help you, you were brought here so that you could get the proper help you needed", trying to sound reassuring.

"Help me, I didn't ask for help...", James responded coldly,

"True, true..but it is very clear that you do need it", he read through the file and then looked back to James, "Now, the other night we had to sedate you, you were shouting and screaming out a name of a place, erm" he glanced at the paper and then continued, "Silent Hill. Could you tell me a little bit about this place?",

James broke eye contact with the Doctor and quietly replied, "It was our special place",

"Special place, for you and your late wife I presume?",

"She called me there, telling me to find her, and go to our special place?...I thought she was dead but, she told me, to come to her", the doctor began to look more puzzled,

"James, Mary died two years ago, you know this, how could she have sent you a letter?"

"I asked myself that same question, but I am not crazy I am telling the truth",

"And what about these monsters? The ones that you painted in art therapy, what can you tell me about them?", the doctor pulled out a sheet of paper, and on it, was painted a grotesque figure with a red iron pyramid like thing as a head. James saw this and recoiled in fear, the doctor looked at it and put it away. "Calm down James, it's ok". James was shuddering and breathing heavily,

"No, no, NOO!" he screamed out loud, and then held his hands against his head, feeling an agonising headache, his eyes were closed tightly shut and he could see flashes of various images all compiled together, and then he saw him above him, he saw Pyramid Head standing above him, his great blade raised high above his head, and as the blade came down James opened his eyes and he found himself being restrained by orderlies, and the doctor injected a sedative into him. His head and limbs began to feel heavy and limp, his vision began to blur and eventually, he was under.

He awoke in his room feeling groggy and lightheaded. As his vision began to settle he tried to sit up, he wondered how long he had been under. He got up and looked out of the window in his room, to see what time it was, as he did, he caught a glimpse of a woman, wearing a hospital bed gown walk past, as he looked at the slow moving figure, her head turned and looked at him dead in the eyes. It was Mary.
