The mother of all chaos was born in Sea

I visited the Sea

A grand, lonely place
A place where mystery and chaos are born

A man went to the Sea
Different man returned from it

I left myself at Sea
And took another for myself

The lonely place gave me knowledge
In place it took my soul
To make it fair
It gave me a piece of itself

I went to the Sea as a Land Creature
That creature is drowned at Sea

Whose creature am I now?
