Sorry about the first chapters. I had to warm up to the story. The next one's 'll be better.

Today was a completely normal day. Which means I was grouchy in the morning, went to school, perked up at about lunch time, and was hyperactive the rest of the day. When I got home, however, my mom said she had an emergency patient, so I would have to skip voice lessons (A/N: I really am very good at singing, and I'm in a choir.) and stay home, but I could invite some friends over. By the way, my mom's a psychoanalyst, so emergency patients are VERY important. After she had left, I called my friend Emma to see if she could come over. When her mom had finally agreed, she said she would be right over. Remembering that it was Friday, I also asked if she could sleep over. She could. Fifteen minutes later, Emma arrived, lugging her suitcase along behind her. Now Emma's really strong, so the fact that she couldn't move the bag made me worried about what she had actually brought. "What the hell did you bring, Em?!" I called out to her. She scowled, looked at me like I was an idiot, and yelled back, "you know what I brought, dolt!" I winced as I realized my stupidity. The strap had just been caught in the latticework of one of our antique cast iron planters. But then again, I had been concentrating on not letting my adorable dog, Cream Puff, out of the door to go harass Emma for pets. I stopped looking at the angelic white ball of fluff, and she sped out the door. "Damn!" I muttered, and Creamerz was all over Em's bag and Emma as well. In the process, she some how managed to get one of Em's books and run off with it. "Oh, shit!" Emma said. I looked at her quizzically, and she said, "My LotR trilogy; the hardback one." "Cream Puff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. She came back, looking very apologetic, and placed it at Em's feet. There were no serious teeth marks, but a corner of the dustcover was ripped. I picked it up, but right when Emma took it, the world went black. I woke up on a soft bed. Cream Puff was at my feet, twitching as she dreamed of chasing rabbits. Emma was not in the small room, but I could smell breakfast cooking, and guessed that she was there. I looked around to gather my bearings. I was in a tiny, sunlit room, and one of the walls was covered in a bookshelf. The other three contained a fireplace, a door, and the last one was plastered with maps. I got up and found that I was wearing my regular clothes still, and that I was very stiff. I walked to the door and promptly banged my head on the wall above it. This woke Cream Puff up, and so my growing bruise had to wait for attention because Creamerz was taking both of my hands to contain her. I think Em must have heard me talking to her, because she ran in and, ducking the low dorway, said, "Do you know what just happened? We got transported! And know what else? We're in MIDDLE EARTH!!!!! I love your dog(!!!!" (A/N: sorry, Em wouldn't really say the part about loving Creamerz, but I had to express how she felt about Middle Earth. Don't kill me Em(!!!!!) Cream Puff looked scared for a moment, but then wagged her tail. "Uhhh, cool Em, but who's house is this? Are they nice? Do they mind that we're here?" Em looked disbelieving, then said, "Cas, we're in a hobbit hole. Our hos......." "Yes, I know we're in a hobbit hole!!! Why do you think I have a bruise on my head?" Em looked at it and said, "Yep, looks like you pulled a Gandalf." (A/N: think Fellowship, Gandalf in Bilbo's hobbit hole, near the beginning)
