Something Else
Tracy's surprised at how fond of A.J.'s son she has become. I don't own GH or its characters.
"He's something else. (paused) Don't tell him I said that."- Tracy to Monica, regarding Michael, (around 6/3/2013)
-This is slightly AU due to the fact Michael has kept custody of Avery, (who is still A.J). I'm bothered by the fact Michael would be easily convinced by Sabrina to endangered his baby sister by giving up custody. The guy had to shoot his step-mother to save his baby sister and got shot because Sonny was busy protecting his latest piece of ass. Not to mention getting raped in prison. But all's forgiven? The way I see it Michael would be at least resentful, if not vengeful.
Also I adore Tracy and Michael's relationship. She has mellowed out some and seems to enjoy Michael.-
"You know, I never picture you choosing holding a baby instead of working," Michael was amused at his aunt. He sat at the desk, doing ELQ paperwork.
"I'm not a complete monster. I did raised two sons. Well, I raised Dillon, at least. And I don't start to hating people until they turned six."
"Dillon did turned out well." Michael agreed.
"Actually, I was just thinking about that regarding you. Monica and I think the recessive genes of the Spencers and the Quartermaines kicked in. We can't figured out how you turned out so well. You were screwed over by both nature and nurture."
Michael chuckled.
"Only you can make a compliment sound so insulting."
"Daddy was better at it," Tracy smiled wistfully.
"I wished I had more time with him. And Grandpa Alan. That reminds me. I wanted to run some things by you."
"Oh?" Tracy raised an eyebrow, "Business or personal?"
"Personal. I seek wisdom from my favorite aunt."
"I'm your only aunt, besides Sam."
"That doesn't diminish your wisdom. As you know, I have fully legal and physical custody of A.J. and I won't give that up ever. But I don't want A.J. to grow up resenting me because she didn't have the chance to know all her family. Or to think I just wanted revenge on Sonny and Ava. I want to be the better person."
"You already are. It's not a hard thing to achieve," Tracy pointed out, "What did you have in mind?"
"I'm thinking about giving Sonny and Ava limited supervised visits. I want her to know they love her but can't care for her. I think it would save everyone some trouble down the road."
"O.k. Well, if you do want to grant them visitation you need to go through proper channels," Tracy advised.
'Of course. But you gotta admit, having a judge in our pocket is nice. Having two is better," Michael grinned.
Tracy shook her head and chuckled.
"You remind me of A.J. There's so much earnestness in you. Where does that come from?"
"Grandmother Lila."
"Of course," Tracy said.
"Did I tell you now that the adoption of A.J. is final, she has a new name?"
"Of course, she does. She's a Quartermaine," Tracy cooed at the smiling baby.
"May I introduce Alexandra Jane Quartermaine?"
"Alexandra? Jumping on the Hamilton bandwagon?" Tracy asked.
"No.."Michael blushed.
"Right. And Jane?"
"It was the closest name to James I could think of."
"I like it. I had a cousin Alexandra. Michael, you're going to blow us away with raising this little one," Tracy squeezed her nephew's hand.
"I'm going to try,"Michael said, determined to better than the previous generations.
