Alasse's Fishing Adventure
by SparkyDalmation
On that bright and sunny day,
There walked an elf named Alasse.
She couldn't know what she would feel,
As she carried that rod and reel.
For as she hiked down hills and over holes,
Perhaps some tunnels made by moles.
She headed for the sunny plot,
Her very own favorite fishing spot.
Hat on her hair all in a plait,
She put down her bag and stood up straight.
She cast her eyes upon the lake,
With thoughts of the dinners she could make.
She set the worm on the hook,
Just like she had read in the book.
She swung her pole back, but not to the past,
Then she let out a perfect cast.
She reeled in slowly, like a sloth,
Waving her hand at a moth.
She finally began to feel a tug,
And looked to Kalen for a hug.
She jerked her pole to the right,
And set up against the fish, who began to fight.
She finally pulled it onto the shore,
Wondering to herself if there would be more.
She looked proudly at her bass,
It has quite a large mass.
She finally made her final throw,
Then gathered her stuff because she had to go.
She knew she must not be late,
For dinner would be great.
She jumped in the pond for a bath,
So she wouldn't face Charlotte's wrath.
After supper she laid down at night,
And then sat up with great fright.
For she began to realize,
That she couldn't see her foe with her eyes.
She had brought home with her a pack of diggers,
Nothing but a bunch of no-good, evil, itchy, little CHIGGERS!
Thank you for reading. I hope you were able to get a laugh out of it!
