Jack and Ashi walked out of the Academy just after the bell rang, indicating that the school day was over with.
"How was your day in school?" Jack questioned, leading her through their usual path. They walked over a wooden bridge, where many sakura trees surrounded them.
"It was alright," Ashi shrugged, "I have a lot of testing in the next few weeks...How did you survive that last year?"
Jack chuckled. He was very advanced in academics for his age, so 11th grade wasn't very difficult for him last year, "Just study hard and you will be fine,"
They stopped under the largest tree in the forest, sitting down quietly. Ashi smiled as she noticed a ladybug land on her leg, and then flew away. Jack admired the view of her, and took that moment to get her attention.
"Ashi," Jack took her hand and clasped it in his, causing her to turn towards him, making eye contact.
"Yes, Jack?" Ashi questioned, nervously glancing away before she'd get lost into his eyes.
"Umm...nevermind," Jack shook his head before laying down on the grass.
Ashi frowned before climbing on top of Jack, straddling his waist much to his shock, "Tell me!"
"It is really nothing," Jack smiled at her persistence.
"Jack..." Ashi whined lying her head on his chest, looking up at him with a pleading expression.
"Ashi..." Jack mimicked, kissing her forehead and closing his eyes peacefully.
Ashi growled, before struggling in his arms, "Let me go!"
Jack pretended not to hear her, but she could easily hear his restrained laughter. Ashi managed to turn over and pin Jack to the ground.
"Now you have to tell me!" Ashi grinned maniacally, before Jack turned her over and switched positions.
"It is really nothing," Jack smiled softly, "We have been together for a while, and I have never really had anyone to actually talk to like this. You are a very important person to me and well..."
"And what?" Ashi blinked up at him.
"...I love you," Jack gazed lovingly into her eyes.
"I love you too," Ashi reached out and caressed Jack's face before wrapping her arms around his neck and bringing him down for a deep kiss.
