Annabeth was surprised as the cool, wet raindrop rolled down her dry face.
"This is just great, the day we decide to walk to the movies it rains," Annabeth huffed, "I mean, the forecast only said thirty percent for five o'clock. Percy, can't you will me dry or something?"
As Annabeth looked at Percy, she realized Percy was getting showered with rain water. She gave him a questioning look to which he replied, "Well, I guess I could. But this is so much more fun, look at me! I'm getting all wet. Rain is nice, Annabeth." Percy said the last part as if he was informing Annabeth of an obvious observation.
"I guess you're right." Annabeth replied and smiled, as she continued to walk with Percy to the closet of a New York apartment that they shared.
"I'm always right!"
"No, you're not."
"Am too!"
"Are not!"
"Am too!"
"Are not!"
"Am too!"
"You're impossible!" Annabeth said as she threw her hands into the air, "I give up!"
"It's because I'm right."
"No, it's because you're acting childish."
"Am not." Before Annabeth could reply, Percy but in," How about we settle this with a race?"
Annabeth raised an eyebrow," Says the man trying to convince me that he isn't childish."
"Whoever makes it back to the apartment first wins."
"You're going down, Seaweed brain!" Annabeth yelled as she started running, not even giving Percy a reply. As they ran, the rain intensified. They ended up drenched at the front door.
"I win." Annabeth said simply, "What's my prize?" She said, forgetting about the argument they had earlier.
"Me." Percy said as her leaned forward to press his lips to hers. After they finally separated, Annabeth shivered.
"You're cold Annabeth, let's head inside." Percy said as Annabeth got out her key.
As she put the key into the lock, Percy wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressing his chest to her back.
"What are you doing, you goofball?" Annabeth asked as she stepped inside the warmth of their apartment. It wasn't much, but it was home.
"Warming you up." Percy replied.
"I know a better way to do that- Dibs on first shower!" Annabeth yelled as she broke away from Percy's embrace and raced to the bathroom they shared, immediately starting to undress so that she could beat Percy to the shower.
"There is no way that is going to happen!" Percy replied as he chased after Annabeth and started undressing at a record speed, just so he could have the satisfaction of beating Annabeth to a nice, warm shower.
Percy did end up beating Annabeth to the shower, but just as he turned on the water, he heard Annabeth groan and mumble to herself, "I wish there was someway we could take a shower at the same time."
Percy opened the shower door, wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, and replied with, "I believe I can arrange for your wish to be granted."
