Kurt sighed.

Blained sighed back, a smile tugging at the side of his lips.

"I don't like this." Kurt said gently.

"I don't either." Blaine responded, his small smile never faltering.

Kurt huffed in annoyance. "Why do you have to be so perfect?"

Blaine let out a bark of laughter, finally making Kurt smile. "Sometimes I wonder the same thing."

Kurt sighed, this time happily. "What time do you have to go?"

Blaine shrugged as much as he could laying on his side. "Probably around midnight."

Kurt nodded and checked the time, which read 11:30 p.m. "Whoa, we've been talking for a long time."

Blaine's ever-present smile widen. "Don't we always?" Kurt stuck his tongue out childishly, which just made Blaine's heart flutter. "What did you do today?" Blaine asked, after sticking his tongue back at Kurt.

"Not much. Went shopping with Rachel and 'Cedes. We had to practically drag Rachel away from a sweater with this gicantic bird on it. It was horrid, I don't see how it appealed to her." Blaine just shrugged, enjoying watching his boyfriend talk. "What did you do today?"

"Absolutely nothing." Kurt raised an eyebrow at him. "I swear, I just sat in the car all day and listen to the top 40's." They both started laughing at this.

The conversation continued like this, small sentences and light laughs, until, sadly, midnight came around.

"I have to go Kurt."

Kurt pouted slightly. "Really?"

Blaine smiled, but this time it didn't reach his eyes as fully. "Yes, really. But I'll see you when I get home, okay?"

"But you won't be home till school starts up again." Kurt sighed.

"Hey, be glad my parents let me stay for Christmas, so now I gotta spend New Year's with the extended family."

Kurt took a deep breath. "I know, I know. I just miss you." As he said this, a piece of hair fell onto his face, blocking one of his eyes from view.

Blaine nodded. "I miss you too. And I wish I was there, because then I'd be able to play with your hair and see both of your eyes."

Kurt smiled and moved the hair from his face. "I probably look horrible under this lighting."

"No way, if anything you look even better under the dim glow of a computer screen." Blaine said, yawning slightly.

Kurt smiled sadly at his tired boyfriend. "I guess I'll let you go. You have a long day in front of you, and then a longer week in front of that."

Blaine nodded. "Yeah, I guess so...I love you Kurt."

"I love you too Blaine." Kurt said, his eyes lighting up at the words.

They sat there, just smiling at each other for a moment, before Kurt sighed. "Goodnight Blaine."

"Goodnight Kurt." Blaine said, his smile finally fading, but love still shining in his eyes. Kurt watched his computer screen until it turned blue and the words "Call Ended" showed in white. Kurt sighed sadly, but exited out of Skype none the less.

Once his computer turned off, he set it on his bedside table, and laid back down his pillows, pulling his blankets over his shoulders. "I miss you." Kurt said to nobody, before finally closing his eyes.

Many miles away, Blaine tossed and turned in his motel bed, before finally finding a comfortable spot staring at the ceiling. "I'll be home before you know it."
