I walked to the beach with tears in my eyes. And there he was my crush, Luke Ross. I walked up to him.
Me: "Look, I know you're mad and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to spoil your date."
I apologized.
He just glared at me. I just stood there for a second before sitting down. The tears were going down my face in droplets.
Me: "You were right. I was jealous, but that never gave me the right to ruin your date."
I continued.
He just kept staring out into the ocean.
Me: "You have a right to be mad at me and I'm sorry. I know you don't want to speak to me right now. I understand.."
I then started to go on for a little bit before he stopped me.
Luke: "I broke up with Nora last night."
He said.
Me: "Oh."
I said.
Shame and regret filled my heart. Was I the cause of him breaking up with Nora? Man, I totally screwed up big time. More tears were going down my cheek. I didn't bother to wipe them.
Luke: "I'm still really angry at you, but I still like you, Miranda. I know you're mad."
He said to me.
I was at first. He said all those unkind words to me and started yelling at me.
Me: "No, you don't."
I said as I shook my head.
I was staring at the ground to avoid him seeing my blush. He wouldn't date me. I'm just a lying, b***h.
Luke: "I still do, honestly. I can't stop thinking about you. I was hoping that maybe we can go out?"
He asked as he rode his hand up to wipe my tears.
We just sat there. He was wiping my tears away as I cried. Just then he got up. I followed, wiping the sand from my ripped jeans. Just then he held his hand out. A peace offering? A handshake? I grabbed his hand and was about to shake it.
Luke: "No, you goof! Hold my hand!"
He said.
I stared at him in confusion.
Luke: "So we can walk down the beach together!"
He said as he grabbed my hand.
Then slowly he came closer and closer to my face. I slightly blushed. Then he caressed my cheek as we kissed. It may be cliche but there were so many butterflies in my stomach. The sparks were there in the kiss. He then intertwined our hands and we started going down the beach together, just enjoying each other's company.
