Innocence and Trust

A/N-Sup' Kiki here and finally posting. I hope you guys enjoy this and if you don't please comment. Flames will be accepted because I can hopefully decipher why you hated it so much.

Disclaimer-If I owned Avatar:The last Airbender, which I don't sadly, there would have been a spinoff series about the Freedom Fighters but I don't so I shall forever be sad.

No ones POV

Innocence was something that only two freedom fighters still grasped. The first was The Duke; though his was mainly based on the fact that he was younger and hadn't been a part of the Freedom Fighters long. The second was rather odd. Smellerbee still held an innocence. It would come and go yes, but it was still there. It was intreging to no end.

No one fully knew Smellerbees story not Jet not even Longshot who had found the girl really had a clue. Of course there were assumptions and hypotheses. Some were even spot on, not that they knew it. Keeping you past bottled up was never a good idea. She knew that. Telling your past was harder in Smellerbee's mind

Burning flesh was a smell that was common in the house of General Li. The sound of crying and shouts of pain were also a common. The fact that no one was going to help hurt the most though the sensation of sizzling skin was a close second. Having no hope was terrible. The tears dripping slowly in to the fresh burns on her skin had stopped stinging as soon as a stronger pain over took her. A sensation of the upmost pain. Like her insides were being torn to shreds.

Smellerbee's POV

Again and again the dream was a repeating occurance. One that I couldn't shake. Her innocence had been taken as had her trust. Not of men in general no she trusted all the freedom fighters male or not. I had lost my trust in the fire nation. Though I now knew how wrong she was at one point I thought there would be peace. I was wrong. Each morning as I applied my face paint I thought of what it represented. Two for my innocence and how it's split. Two for my trust and how it's only half here.
