Between Daylight and Darkness
Chapter One : Forever Eighteen
Yes, she had to admit. Sucking blood got old quick.
Isabella Cullen was eighteen years old. That is, she is eighteen years old. She has been eighteen years old. She will probably never ever not be eighteen years old, ever again.
Forever Eighteen. Isn't that the name of a brand? It should be.
She had to admit, the bloodlust lasted quite a while. There was the amazing strength she possessed in the first week or so of becoming a vampire, strength that surpassed even the rest of her more experienced coven members. Even the buff one. That was gone now, and in a moment's thought she regretted not using the immense power for something more productive, maybe something pivotal for the fate of the world?
I used that for arm wrestling, for god's sake. Not to fight evil, or to build a tunnel to China. Arm wrestling!
Oh, wait. She didn't think that. No, goodness. Our sweet Bella was too busy preparing for her baseball game against Carlisle and Jasper. It was a tourney, two to four, in Carlisle-Jasper's favor. The Edward-Bella squad had started strong, pulling off home run after home run, with Edward running at light speeds to catch every fly ball, and Bella swinging her hips this way and that until the opposition just stopped and stared.
It seemed that as soon as she left Phoenix, Bella Swan's good body became a great one. And then, obviously, there was the overnight transition from shy, tipsy Bella to just-married, sparkly Bella. And she hadn't even settled down; that literally hot dog over there, namely Jacob, was deployed as full-time babysitter. He hadn't yet asked for pay, and Bella never asked for him to ask for pay. And life went on.
As Bella swung the bat, she felt her feet lift of the ground in a steady beat, and before she knew it she was flying to the next base, and the next, her body moving like a mirage. The vampire steadied to a stop at third base, smirking at the memory of her past self; the her from long ago would probably have tripped halfway to first base, stubbed her toe on the base pad, tripped, bashed her nose in, kicked her knee and probably sprain her ankle, fracture three rib bones and a fourth if she managed to get dirt in her eyes, crack a nail, bruise a boob, and fart at a good three-mile radius.
But hey, she would look great while doing so.
/More to come! I figure I'll be writing this as 'miscellaneous chapters', where they are written with no particular order, or at least in a lesser professional standpoint.
That said, don't expect me to be a brilliant fangirl, or even a hater. I like the author potential... I don't like the books... I LOVE poking fun.
I may also take any suggestions into account, so feel free to add in your opinions on my chapters or the books in general ;)
Cheers! Nookie
